PETONE AND LOWER HUTT GAS BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Petone and Lower Hutt Gas Board hereby resolves as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on loans amounting to nine thousand six hundred and fifty pounds (£9,650), being part of a loan authorized to be raised by the Petone and Lower Hutt Gas Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of the purchase of office premises, a boom shovel loader, and a truck for the distribution department, the said Petone and Lower Hutt Gas Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-thirtieth (1/30) of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Petone and Lower Hutt Gas Board’s rating area, comprising the Borough of Petone and the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the 5th day of April and October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’

The above resolution of the Petone and Lower Hutt Gas Board was passed at a meeting held on 19 November 1953.
