Revoking Part of a Proclamation Defining the Middle Line of
a Portion of the Wellington-Napier Railway

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclama-
tion dated the 10th day of December 1924 and published in
the New Zealand Gazette No. 81 of the 11th day of the same
month at page 2898, and deposited in the Land Registry Office
at Wellington as No. 1482, defining the middle line of a
portion of the Wellington-Napier railway in so far as it
affects the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Defining the Middle Line of the Kawerau-Te Teko Railway,
and Revoking Previous Proclamation

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclama-
tion dated the 19th day of June 1953 and published in the
Gazette of the 25th day of the same month at page 962,
defining the middle line of the Kawerau-Te Teko Railway,
and hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of the
Kawerau-Te Teko Railway shall be that defined and set
forth in the Schedule hereto; and I also declare that this
Proclamation shall affect only that land shown coloured red
on the plan marked P.W.D. 141986, referred to in the Schedule
hereto.
SCHEDULE
COMMENCING at a point marked 0 miles on plan P.W.D.
141986, on the middle line of the Awakaponga-Kawerau
Railway (Proclamation S. 51666) approximately 8 miles 32
chains from its junction with the East Coast Main Trunk
Railway, and proceeding thence in an easterly direction
generally for a distance of 3 miles 73 chains and passing in,
into, through, or over the following lands, etc., viz: Section
59B 2D 4, Parish of Matata (C.T. 72/49); Section 23, Block
IX, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District (no registration);
Section 24, Block IX, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District (no
registration); Part Section 25, Block IX, Rangitaiki Upper
Survey District (no registration); Section 29, Block IX,
Rangitaiki Upper Survey District (Crown Lease R.B. 735/78);
Section 28, Block IX, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District (Crown
Lease R.B. 735/80); Allotment 128, Parish of Matata, Crown
Licence 909/176; Section 1s, Te Ngaroa Settlement (Crown
Lease 432/166); Te Teko A, Section 1 Block (Part C.T.
158/286); Te Teko A, Section 2 Block (Part C.T. 158/286);
Te Teko A, Section 3 Block (C.T. 700/98); Te Teko A,
Section 4 Block (C.T. 691/17); Allotment 117, Parish of
Matata (C.T. 602/84); Allotment 233, Parish of Matata
(Part R.B. 688/38); and terminating at a point marked 3
miles 73 chains on plan P.W.D. 141986 in the aforesaid
Allotment 233 on the middle line of the Edgecumbe-Murupara
Railway (Proclamation S. 15809), including all adjoining and
intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers,
streams, and watercourses; all in the South Auckland Land
District.
As the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D.
141986, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at
Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 15th day of December 1953.

Portion of a Public Reserve Set Apart for an Automatic-
telephone Exchange in the Town of Levin

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare
that the portion of public reserve described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby set apart for an automatic-telephone exchange;
and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on
and after the 21st day of December 1953.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of public reserve set apart:
2 roods.
Being Sections 9 and 11, Block IV, Town of Levin, as shown
on a plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at
Wellington as No. 12853.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 11th day of December 1953.

December 1953

PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
consents to the Wairarapa South County Council stopping the
portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road permitted to be
stopped:

2 1 7-8 Part Section 347, Taratahi Plain Block, being
also part of land in plan A. 1106.
Situated in Block XV, Tiffin Survey District (Wairarapa
