DURATION OF LICENCE

  1. Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall
    continue in force until the 31st day of March 1974.

RENTAL

  1. For the purpose of assessing the rental or annual sum
    payable in respect of this licence, the licensee may install a
    suitable maximum-demand indicator to the satisfaction of the
    Inspecting Engineer of the State Hydro-electric Department,
    and failing such installation the rental shall be assessed on the
    maximum generating capacity of the plant installed. The
    present plant is rated at 3 kilowatts.

NO RIGHT TO WATER CONFERRED

  1. Nothing in this licence shall of itself confer upon the
    licensee any right to water.

Cancelling the Vesting of a Reserve in the Wanganui City
Council

At the Government House at Wellington, this 4th day of
November 1953

Present:

His Excellency The Governor-General in Council

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a
reserve duly set apart for recreation purposes, and is
vested, in trust, in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the
City of Wanganui:

And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said
land as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the
Wanganui City Council has duly consented to such cancellation:

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (1) of section 10
of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council, hereby cancels the vesting in
the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Wanganui
of the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Adding Lands to the Sounds (Fiordland) National Park

At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of
November 1953

His Excellency The Governor-General in Council

PURSUANT to section 10 of the National Parks Act 1952, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that
the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall as from the date
hereof be added to and form part of the Sounds (Fiordland) National
Park, and such lands shall hereafter be subject to the provisions
of the said Act.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT

PART I

Lands Subject to the Scenery Preservation Act 1908

Blocks VIII, XI, and XV, and part Blocks III, IV, VI, VII, IX,
X, XII, XIII, XIV, and XVI, Cleughearn Survey District; part
Blocks II, III, and IV, Hauroko Survey District ; and part Blocks
II, V, and VIII, Monowai Survey District: Area, 60,096 acres,
more or less.

Also Section 1, Block I, Titiroa Survey District: Area, 800
acres, more or less.

Also part Section 1, Block III, Eglinton Survey District, part
Section 1, Block IV, part Section 1, Block IX, and part Section 1,
Block X, Te Anau Survey District: Area, 6,342 acres, more or less.

Erin's, Centre, and Dome islets, situated in Lake Te Anau; the
islands Pomona, Rona, Isolde, Holmwood, Mahara, Buncrana,
Koinga, and Inch Keith, situated in Lake Manapouri; the islands
Lloyd, Anxiety, Secretary, Bauza, Elizabeth, Towing, Breaksea,
Gilbert, Entry, Anchor, Petrel, Parrot, Pigeon, Seal, Noman's, Indian,
Long, Cooper, Front, Shag, Chalky, Passage, Great, Coal, Steep-to,
and the islands adjacent thereto, situated in or adjacent to the
West Coast sounds.

As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 4/300H, deposited in
the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington,
and thereon coloured red.

Revoking the Reservation Over Portion of a Reserve in Town of Reefton,
Nelson Land District

His Excellency The Governor-General in Council

PURSUANT to subsection (1) (b) of section 7 of the Public
Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-
General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, hereby revokes the reservation for a site for a Lands and
Survey office over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and
hereby declares that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is
Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act 1948.

Charles Roderick Dreadon,
Colin McCullough,
Frederick Nelson Simpkin, and
William Gordon Simpkin

to be the Tokatoka Domain Board, having control of the land
described in the Schedule hereto; and hereby appoints Thursday,
the 3rd day of December 1953, at 8 o'clock p.m., as the time when,
and the Tokatoka Public Hall, as the place where, the first meeting
of the Board shall be held.
