IN LIQUIDATION

Notice of Voluntary Winding-up and Meeting of Creditors

NOTICE is hereby given that by an entry in its minute book made on the 23rd day of October 1953 the above-named company passed a resolution “That the company be wound up voluntarily”, and that a meeting of the creditors of the company will be held pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act 1933 at the Board Room, Epworth Chambers, 176 Hereford Street, Christchurch, on Monday, the 2nd day of November 1953, at 2.30 o’clock in the afternoon, at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company’s affairs together with a list of creditors and the estimated amount of their claims will be laid before the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors in pursuance of section 235 may nominate a person to be the liquidator of the company, and in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act may appoint a committee of inspection.

ELLERSLIE BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Physical Welfare and Recreation Act 1937.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Ellerslie Borough Council proposes to execute certain public works (namely, the acquisition of land and the provision thereon of a centre and for facilities for physical training, exercise, sport, and recreation of the inhabitants of the Borough of Ellerslie and social activities related thereto as are authorized by the Act secondly mentioned above), and for such purposes as aforesaid the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby given that the certificate of title referred to in the Schedule hereto may be inspected at the Land Registry Office at Auckland during the hours such office is open to the public.

All persons affected by or who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public works or the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same, within forty days of the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, Council Chambers, Ellerslie S.F. 6.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land containing 24 perches, more or less, situated in the Borough of Ellerslie, being part of Lot 84 of a subdivision of Allotment 7 of Section 12 of the Suburbs of Auckland, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 877, folio 36, limited as to parcels, Auckland Registry.

NELSON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Nelson City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £4,500, to be known as the Maitai Camping Ground Loan 1953, authorized to be raised by the Nelson City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a sanitary and utility block and laying out camping sites at the Maitai Reserve camping ground, the said Nelson City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-one five-hundred-and-twelfths of a penny (31/512d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Nelson, comprising the whole of such City, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 23rd day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Nelson City Council at a special meeting held on the 22nd day of September 1953.

BULLER ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Buller Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges of the loan of £5,000 authorized to be raised by the Buller Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of the ‘Construction of new works and lines and increase in capacity of existing lines as apart from Karamea’, the said Buller Electric Power Board hereby raises and levies a special rate of one penny and decimal four one of a penny (1·41d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Buller Electric Power Board District, comprising part of the County of Buller and the whole of the Borough of Westport; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-four years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The said special rate is the same rate made and levied by the said Board on the 15th day of March 1951, the 13th day of March 1952, the 9th day of September 1952, the 9th day of March 1953, and the 13th day of July 1953, and not additional thereto.”
