RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan No. 3, 1953

THE following resolution was passed at a special meeting
of the Raglan County Council held on the 27th day of
October 1953.

"That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly
instalments of principal and interest and other loan charges on
a loan of £50,000, authorized to be raised by the Raglan
County Council under authority of the Local Bodies' Loans
Act 1926 and the Rural Housing Act 1939, for the purpose of
making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing
Act 1939, the said Raglan County Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of 0.5d. (½d.) in the pound upon the
unimproved rateable value of all rateable property comprising
the whole of the County of Raglan; such special rate shall be
an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan
and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully repaid.'"
