Recreation Reserve in the South Auckland Land District Brought
Under Part II of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 34 of the Public Reserves and Domains
Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
orders and declares that the reserve for recreation in the South
Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be
and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared
to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act, and such
reserve shall hereafter form part of the Taupo Domain, and be
managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain by the
Taupo Domain Board.

SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
SECTION 40, Block VI, Tauhara Survey District: Area, 3 acres
and 24 perches, more or less. Subject to the reservations and
conditions imposed by section 59 of the Land Act 1948. (S.O. plan

acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, hereby appoints
The member of the Levels County Council, representing
the Waimataitai Riding, ex officio,
George Herbert Fraser,
Francis Maurice Hart,
Leslie Thomas Johnson,
Mervyn Albert King,
Conway Charles Lennon,
John McCormick, and
Charles Edward Ward
to be the Rosewill Domain Board, having control of the land
described in the Schedule hereto; and hereby appoints
Tuesday, the 1st day of December 1953, at 8 o'clock p.m., as
the time when, and the Rosewill Hall, as the place where, the
first meeting of the Board shall be held.

Valentine Henry Crawford,
Ernest Thomas Hazelhurst,
Peter Lilley,

James Stewart
to be the Tirau Domain Board, having control of the land described
in the Schedule hereto; and hereby appoints Monday, the 2nd
day of November 1953, at 8 o'clock p.m., as the time when, and
the Tirau bowling pavilion, Tirau Domain, as the place where,
the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

Officer Authorized to Take Statutory Declarations

Pursuant to section 301 of the Justices of the Peace Act
1927, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby
authorizes
Alan William Brain McNaughton, Postmaster, Tikitiki,
to take and receive statutory declarations under that section.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 12th day of October 1953.

Land Reserved in the South Auckland Land District

WHEREAS by section 167 of the Land Act 1948 it is enacted
that the Governor-General may from time to time set
apart as a reserve, notwithstanding that the same may be then
held under pastoral lease or pastoral occupation licence, any Crown
land for any purpose which, in his opinion, is desirable in the public
interest, and notice thereof shall be published in the New Zealand
Gazette:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 167 of the said Act, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby reserve, subject to the
reservations and conditions imposed by section 59 of the Land Act
1948, the land in the South Auckland Land District described in
the Schedule hereunder written for the purposes of general education.

SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
Part Section 68, Block XVI, Ohinemuri Survey District: Area,
4 acres 1 rood 0.29 perch, more or less. As shown on the plan
marked L. and S. 51548F, deposited in the Head Office, Department
of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
