David William Malcolmson, Chief Clerk, Land Development Office, Lands and Survey Department, Auckland,

to take and receive statutory declarations under that section.

Granting the Right to Maoris to Bury the Ashes of the Late Sir Peter Te Rangihira Buck in the Ancestral Burial Grounds on the Okoki Pa Scenic Reserve, Taranaki Land District

Pursuant to section 7 of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act 1910, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby grant the right to bury the ashes of the late Sir Peter Te Rangihira Buck in the ancestral burial grounds situated within the boundaries of the land described in the Schedule hereto to such Maoris as the Minister charged for the time being with the administration of the Scenery Preservation Act 1908 shall approve.

PART Section 24, Block IV, Waitara Survey District: Area, 42 acres 2 roods, more or less.

Vesting the Control of a Scenic Reserve in the Matamata County Council

Pursuant to section 13 of the Scenery Preservation Act 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby vests the control of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto (being land reserved under the said Act) in trust, for the purposes of scenery preservation, as from the date of this notice until the 18th day of June 1956 (unless previously altered or revoked under the said Act), in the Matamata County Council.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—PART MAUNGATAUTARI MOUNTAIN SCENIC RESERVE

SECTIONS 31 and 32, Tautari Settlement, and Maungatautari Nos. 3A Section 7A and 3A Section 6A Blocks, situated in Blocks VI, VII, X, and XI, Maungatautari Survey District: Area, 892 acres 3 roods 11 perches, more or less.

Vesting the Control of a Scenic Reserve in the Dunedin City Council

Pursuant to section 13 of the Scenery Preservation Act 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), His Excellency the Governor-General hereby vests the control of the scenic reserve described in the Schedule hereto (being land reserved under the said Act) in the Dunedin City Council, subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say:

  1. The period for which the control of the reserve is hereby vested shall be five years from the date hereof, unless the reservation is previously altered or revoked under the said Act.

  2. The said Council shall prepare a report each year, ending on the 31st day of March, together with a statement of receipts and expenditure in connection with the said reserve. Such report and statement shall be sent to the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act as soon as possible after the close of the year.

  3. The said Council shall control the said reserve in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the regulations made thereunder.

SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT—EVANSDALE GLEN SCENIC RESERVE

Lot 1, Deposited Plan No. 7655, being part Section 60, Block I, Waikouaiti Survey District: Area, 6 acres 2 roods 9 perches, more or less. Subject to X 14889 exempting road frontages from the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, subject to a condition as to building line.

Also Sections 88, 89, 96, and part Sections 62 and 63, Block I, Waikouaiti Survey District: Area, 43 acres 1 rood 37 perches, more or less. (S.O. plans 8368 and 1852.)

As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 4/107, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Authorizing Erection of a Public Hall on Te Teko Domain, South Auckland Land District

Pursuant to subsection (1) (d) of section 52 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby authorize the Te Teko Domain Board to erect a public hall on that portion of the Te Teko Domain under its control described in the Schedule hereto.

Pursuant to subsection (1) (d) of section 52 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby authorize the Ngarua Domain Board to erect a public hall on that portion of the Ngarua Domain under its control described in the Schedule hereto.
