Domain Board Appointed to Have Control of the Broadlands
Domain

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of
October 1953
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes
an Order in Council dated 19 November 1947 and published
in the New Zealand Gazette of the 20th day of that month,
appointing a Domain Board to control the Broadlands Domain,
and hereby appoints
Arthur Drury,
Gilbert McGraw Henderson,
Maxwell Nicholson,
Raymond Saxton, and
Norman Winton
to be the Broadlands Domain Board, having control of the
land described in the Schedule hereto; and hereby appoints
Monday, the 30th day of November 1953, at 7 o'clock p.m.,
as the time when, and the Broadlands' Hall, as the place
where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT-BROADLANDS DOMAIN
LOT 15, Deposited Plan No. 28027, being part Kaingaroa No. 2
West No. 1 Block, situated in Block II; Takapau Survey
District: Area, 10 acres 1 rood 10 perches, more or less.

Vesting Reserves in the New Plymouth City Council

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of
September 1953
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto
have been duly set apart as reserves for recreation
purposes:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it
is expedient to vest the said reserves in the Mayor, Coun-
cillors, and Citizens of the City of New Plymouth:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 9 of the Public
Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-
General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council, hereby declares that from and after the
day of the date hereof the reserves described in the Schedule
hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and
Citizens of the City of New Plymouth, in trust, for recreation
purposes.
SCHEDULE
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT
PART Lot 1, Deposited Plan No. 5670, being part Section 48,
Fitzroy District, situated in Block V, Paritutu Survey District:
Area, 1 acre and 28.8 perches, more or less.
Also part Lot 1, Deposited Plan No. 5670, being part
Section 48, Fitzroy District, situated in Block V, Paritutu
Survey District: Area, 1 rood 17.98 perches, more or less.
As shown on the plans marked L. and S. 1/1107/4B and
1/1107/4c respectively, deposited in the Head Office, Depart-
ment of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged
red. Both areas subject to the reservations and conditions
imposed by section 59 of the Land Act 1948. (S.O. plan

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has

Recreation Reserve in Wellington Land District Brought
Under Part II of the Public Reserves and Domains Act
1928

At the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of
October 1953
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 34 of the Public Reserves and
Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, hereby orders and declares that the reserve for
recreation in the Wellington Land District described in the
Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under
the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions
of Part II of the said Act, and such reserve shall hereafter
form part of the Ohakune Domain and shall be managed,
administered, and dealt with as a public domain by the
Ohakune Domain Board.
SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
SECTION 34, Block VIII, Makotuku Survey District: Area,
126 acres 1 rood 39 perches, more or less. Subject to the
reservations and conditions imposed by section 59 of the Land

Exempting Land in the Auckland Land District from the
Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by subsection (2) of section 171 of the
Coal Mines Act 1925, and of all other powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles
Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New
Zealand, hereby declare that the land described in the
Schedule hereto shall be exempt from the operation of
Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925, and hereby further
declare that this notice shall take effect as from the date
of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.
SCHEDULE
All that area of land in the Auckland Land District
containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being
Lot 7 on Deposited Plan 7762, being portion of Allotments
Nos. 146 and 148 of the Suburbs of Newcastle North,
and being the whole of the land comprised and described
in certificate of title, Volume 257, folio 166, Auckland
Registry.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 25th day of September 1953.

Officer Authorized to Take Statutory Declarations

1927, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby
authorizes
Robert Arthur Athol Law, Assistant District Rehabilitation
Officer, Rehabilitation Department, Wellington,
to take and receive statutory declarations under that section.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 30th day of September 1953.
