Provisional State Forest Land Set Apart as Permanent State Forest Land

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the provisional State forest land described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest land.
SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—AUCKLAND CONSERVANCY ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Waitomo County, containing by admeasurement 3,271 acres, more or less, being Section 1, Block VIII, and Sections 2 and 3, Block XII, Wakaumana Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plans Nos. 44/10 and 44/11, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (South Auckland S.O. 36158 and S.O. 34774.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 28th day of September 1953.

A
Road Traversing Maori Land Proclaimed as a Public Road in Block III, Otanake Survey District, South Auckland Land District

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the road described in the Schedule hereto traverses Maori land and has been used by the public as a public road and has been formed, improved, and maintained out of public funds:
And whereas the Maori Land Court, by an Order made on the 2nd day of September 1952 and issued pursuant to section 484 of the Maori Land Act 1931, ordered and declared the said road to be a public road:
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands in terms of section 486 of the Maori Land Act 1931:
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 487 of the Maori Land Act 1931, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as a public road the road described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as road: 1 acre and 29 perches.
Being part Pukenui 2nd 5 Block, situated in Block III, Otanake Survey District (M.L.C. plan 17038).
In the South Auckland Land District; as shown on the plan marked L. and S. 22/116, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 3106, and thereon coloured blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 29th day of September 1953.
