HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the Franklin County Council stopping the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road permitted to be stopped: 16 perches.
Adjoining Allotment 59A, Otaw Parish, and Crown land. Situated in Block VIII, Opaheke Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 37303.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 141163, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Amending the Constitution of the Seaward Bush Rural Fire District

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby make the following order:
The Order in Council dated the 9th day of March 1949, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on 17 March 1949 at page 724 (hereinafter referred to as the said Order in Council), is hereby amended by omitting the Schedule to the said Order in Council and substituting the Schedule set out in the Schedule to this Order in Council.

“SOUTH LAND DISTRICT—SOUTH LAND CONSERVANCY
“Seaward Bush Rural Fire District
“ALL that area in the Southland Land District, Southland County, containing approximately 1,950 acres, situated in Block XXII, Invercargill Hundred, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north-west by Sections 71, 70, 69, and 68, Block II, and Section 90, Block XXII, Invercargill Hundred, and the crossing of a public road; towards the north-east by the north-eastern side of Mill Road South; towards the north by the northern side of Mason Road; towards the east by the crossing of a public road and by Sections 107, 108, 109, 110, 111, Block XXIII, Invercargill Hundred, and the crossing of a public road; towards the south by the south side of a public road; towards the east by part of Section 39, Block XXII, aforesaid; towards the south by part of Section 38, Block XXII, as aforesaid, and the crossing of a public road; towards the west and south by Section 26, Block XXII, aforesaid; again towards the south by Section 25, Block XXII, aforesaid; towards the west generally by the crossing of a public road, Section 18, the crossing of a public road, Sections 31 and 10, the crossing of a public road, Section 4, the crossing of a public road, Sections 2, 3, and 6, the crossing of a public road, and by Section 83, all of Block XXII, aforesaid. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 216/8, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.”

Constituting Clinton Secondary Urban Fire District

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 18 of the Fire Services Act 1949, the Clutha County Council requested that the urban area of Clinton be constituted a secondary urban fire district:
And whereas, pursuant to the said section 18, the Fire Service Council has certified that the appropriate standards for a secondary urban fire district have been complied with in respect of the said area:
And whereas, pursuant to the said section 18, the request has been referred to the Local Government Commission.
And whereas, pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1946, the Local Government Commission has recommended that action be taken under the Fire Services Act 1949 to constitute the said area a secondary urban fire district:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 18 of the Fire Services Act 1949, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares the urban area of Clinton to be a secondary urban fire district by the name of the Clinton Secondary Urban Fire District.

Constituting Owaka Secondary Urban Fire District

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 18 of the Fire Services Act 1949, the Clutha County Council requested that the urban area of Owaka be constituted a secondary urban fire district:
And whereas, pursuant to the said section 18, the Fire Service Council has certified that the appropriate standards for a secondary urban fire district have been complied with in respect of the said area:
And whereas, pursuant to the said section 18, the request has been referred to the Local Government Commission:
And whereas, pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1946, the Local Government Commission has recommended that action be taken under the Fire Services Act 1949 to constitute the said area a secondary urban fire district.
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 18 of the Fire Services Act 1949, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares the urban area of Owaka to be a secondary urban fire district by the name of the Owaka Secondary Urban Fire District.

Constituting Croixelles-French Pass Road District

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the Croixelles Road Board and the French Pass Road Board each passed a resolution proposing that the Road Districts of Croixelles and French Pass be united into one road district:
And whereas the French Pass Road Board passed a resolution proposing that a certain area of Sounds County not forming part of the district of either of the said Road Boards be included in the proposed new road district:
And whereas the said resolutions were referred to the Local Government Commission:
And whereas, pursuant to the provisions of the Local Government Commission Act 1946, the Local Government Commission has approved as final a scheme bearing date the 16th day of June 1953, providing for the union of the Road Districts of Croixelles and French Pass and their constitution as a new road district, and providing also for the inclusion of the area described in the Schedule to the said scheme in the new road district:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to give effect to the final scheme and to make supplementary provisions for giving full effect to that scheme:
