PURSUANT to section 148 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1933, the following special order made by the Mount Wellington Borough Council altering the total number of members of the Council is hereby published.

SPECIAL ORDER
'Pursuant to section 148 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1933, the Mount Wellington Borough Council hereby resolves by way of special order to increase the number of Councillors of the borough from six to eight.'
I hereby certify that the above special order has been duly passed.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Glider-launching Winches Exempted from Annual Licence Fees
Pursuant to paragraph (n) of the First Schedule of the Motor Vehicles (Licensing Fees Exemption) Regulations 1948,* as amended by regulation 3 of the Motor Vehicles (Licensing Fees Exemption) Regulations 1948, Amendment No. 1f, any motor vehicle or trailer designed and used on the road exclusively for carrying and operating a winch for the purpose of launching gliders shall be exempt from the payment of annual licence fees under Part II of the Transport Act 1949.
