AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928
NOTICE is hereby given that the Auckland City Council proposes, under provisions of the above-mentioned Act, to execute a certain public work, namely, the provision of a street, and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk at the Town Hall, Auckland, and it is open for public inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, Town Hall, Auckland.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land containing 1 rood 6.6 perches, more or less, being part of the land shown as Sutherland Road on Deposited Plan 2300, being portion of Allotment 28 of the Parish of Titirangi and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 748, folio 135, Auckland Registry, as the said piece of land is more particularly shown on Survey Office plan No. 37287, and thereon coloured yellow.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held on the 19th day of December 1952 the following special resolution was duly passed:
"That the company be wound up voluntarily and that OWEN RUSSELL COOPER, of Huntly, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator for the purposes of such winding up."

BANKS PENINSULA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Banks Peninsula Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of five thousand pounds (£5,000), authorized to be raised by the Banks Peninsula Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of further reticulation of the Board’s district, the said Banks Peninsula Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one one hundred and thirtieth part of a penny (1/130d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Banks Peninsula Electric Power District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
Dated at Little River, this 25th day of August 1953.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION
In the matter of the Companies Act 1933, and in the matter of UDALL AND BURNS, LIMITED (previously Vivian Four Square Grocery Store, Limited).
NOTICE is hereby given that by entry in the minute book of the company pursuant of section 300 of the Companies Act 1933, dated the 26th day of August 1953, it was
"1. That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it be wound up voluntarily.
"2. That the shareholders nominate J. G. O’SULLIVAN, Public Accountant, Wellington, as liquidator."
Notice of Meeting of Creditors
A meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held, pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act 1933, at the office of John Murphy and Company, Prudential Building, Wellington, on Friday, the 4th day of September 1953, at 2.30 o’clock in the afternoon, at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company’s affairs, together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims, will be laid before the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to act as liquidator of the company, and, in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.

Annual Statement
I, SAMUEL JACKSON HANNA, Trust Manager, do solemnly and sincerely declare:
- That the liability of the members is limited.
- That the capital of the company is £1,500,000 divided into 1,500,000 shares of £1 each.
- That the number of shares issued is 1,500,000.
- That calls to the amount of £1 per share have been made under which the sum of £1,500,000 has been received.
- That the amount of all moneys received on account of estates is £40,783,229 6s. 11d.
- That the amount of all moneys paid on account of estates is £40,496,453 19s. 8d.
- That the amount of the balance held to the credit of estates under administration in the company’s Trust Bank Accounts is £286,775 7s. 3d.
- That the liabilities of the company at the close of its financial year (to wit, the 31st day of May 1953) were: Debts owing to sundry persons by the company, viz.: On judgment, nil; on specialty, nil; on notes or bills, nil; on simple contracts, £247,085; on estimated liabilities, £2,639,048.
- That the assets of the company on that date were: Government securities (New Zealand), £709,221; Government securities (British and British Dependencies), £1,516,810; bills of exchange and promissory notes, nil; cash at bankers and in hand, £813,439; other securities, £9,215,579.
And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true and by virtue of the provision of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the Justices of the Peace Act 1927.
