FEILDING BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE, £22,000 LOAN

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Feilding Borough Council held on the 13th day of August 1953:

"In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Feilding Borough Council hereby further resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on the Streets and Footpaths Loan of £22,000, 1953, authorised to be raised by the Feilding Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of tar sealing streets and constructing and renovating footpaths, the Feilding Borough Council hereby makes and levies a rate of one and two-fifths of a penny (1²⁄₅ths d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Feilding; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan or any portion thereof, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twelve years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

WAITOMO ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Reticulation Loan 1953 of £40,000

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act 1951, and all other Acts and powers it enabling, the Waitomo Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £40,000 (forty thousand pounds), authorized to be raised by the Waitomo Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing for extensions and additions to the existing reticulation system and otherwise providing for the distribution of electrical energy throughout the Waitomo Electric Power District, the Waitomo Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of eleven-twentieths of a penny (1¹⁄₂₀d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Waitomo Electric Power District, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

AUCKLAND METROPOLITAN DRAINAGE BOARD

LOAN NO. 5, SUPPLEMENTARY LOAN 1953, £2,000: LOAN NO. 5, 1949, £60,000 (PORTION £2,000)

Special Order

THE Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board doth hereby in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1944, and in pursuance of the authority conferred on it under the Local Bodies’ Finance Act 1921-22, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926, and their respective amendments, and in exercise of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, resolve by special resolution intended to operate as a special order to borrow the sum of four thousand pounds (£4,000), of which two thousand pounds (£2,000) is special loan supplementary to Loan No. 5, 1949, £60,000; and two thousand pounds (£2,000) is a special loan forming portion of said Loan No. 5; such sum of four thousand pounds (£4,000) being for the purpose of providing for additional expenditure in connection with repairs to the damaged portion of the storage tanks at Orakei.

The foregoing special order was made by way of a special resolution passed at a special meeting of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board convened by requisition of the chairman dated 13 July 1953 and held on 22 July 1953. It was publicly notified in the New Zealand Herald on 29 July 1953 and 19 August 1953. It was confirmed at a meeting of the Board, convened by resolution of the Board on 22 July 1953 and held ““PO August 1953.

The common seal of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board was hereto affixed this 26th day of August 1953 in the presence of—
