Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part I of the Maori
Land Amendment Act 1936 (Pouakani Development
Scheme)

P URSUANT to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Maori
Land Amendment Act 1936, the Board of Maori Affairs
hereby revokes, so far as it affects the land described in the
Schedule hereto, a certain notice dated the 18th day of
February 1947, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 9
of 20 February 1947 at page 238, whereby the said land was
declared to be subject to the provisions of Part I of the
Maori Land Amendment Act 1936.

SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area of land in the Waiariki Maori Laud Court
District, being parts of the Pouakani Block, more particularly
described as follows:

  1. All those pieces of land together containing 787 acres
    I rood 4 perches, more or less, being parts of the Pouakani
    Block situate in Blocks I, II, and VI, Whakamaru Survey
    District, being the whole of the land described in a Pro-
    clamation made on the 19th day of October 1949 and
    published in New Zealand Gazette No. 62 of 27 October
    1949 at page 2491, whereby the said land was proclaimed and
    declared to be taken for the development of water power..

  2. All those pieces of land together containing 683 acres
    I rood 15 perches, more or less. being parts of the Pouakani
    Block situate in Blocks II and VI, Whakamaru Survey District,
    being the whole of the land described in a Proclamation made
    on the 19th day of October 1949 and published in New Zealand
    Gazette No. 62 of 27 October 1949 at page 2492, whereby
    the said land was proclaimed and declared to be taken for the
    development of water power.

  3. All those pieces of land together containing 63 acres
    I rood 33 perches, more or less, being parts of the Pouakani
    Block situate in Blocks I, II, and VI, Whakamaru Survey
    District, being the whole of the laud described in a Pro-
    clamation made on the 24th day of May 1950 and published
    in New Zealand Gazette No. 36 of 1 June 1950 at page 722,
    whereby the said laud was proclaimed and declared to be taken
    for road.

Notifying the Vesting of Public Reserves in the Crown

P URSUANT to section 13 of the Land Subdivision in
Counties Act 1946, it is hereby notified that the lands
described in the Schedule hereto have vested in Her
Majesty for the purposes specified and from the dates
shown at the end of the respective descriptions.

P URSUANT to section 22 of the Industrial Conciliation
and Arbitration Act 1925 it is hereby notified that the
registration of the Otago and Southland Gold Mining Indus-
trial Union of Employers, Registered No. 318, situated at
Dunedin, will, unless cause to the contrary is shown, be can-
celled at the expiration of six weeks from the date of
publication of this notice in the Gazette.
