Declaring Portion of Downs Road in the Southland County to be County Road

At the Government House at Wellington, this 2nd day of September 1953
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become county road.
SCHEDULE
ALL that portion of road in the Southland Land District, Southland County, being part of Downs Road in Block V, Lindhurst Hundred, commencing at its junction with the Glencoe-Brydone Road and proceeding thence in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 13 chains, more or less, adjoining Sections 16, 17, and 59, Block V, Lindhurst Hundred.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 141014, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Consenting to Land Being Taken in Connection with Street Widening in the City of Wanganui

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken in connection with street widening.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land permitted to be taken: 3 roods 12 perches.
Being part Kaiate No. 1 Block, some of the boundaries of the said piece of land being more particularly delineated in D.P. 3257 and D.P. 7896 and plan deposited in the Deeds Register Office at Wellington as No. 254, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 343, folio 110 (Wellington Land Registry).
Situated in the City of Wanganui.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street off Blagdon Road, in the City of New Plymouth, Subject to a Condition as to the Building Line

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1948 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the New Plymouth City Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part “f its length of leas than 66 ft. but, not less than 40 ft., subject. t” the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on Lots 1, 2, 13, 14, 15, and 17 shown on tho plan marked P.W.D. 141018 referred to in the said Schedule, within a distance of 48 ft. from the centre-line of th” said street.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the Taranaki Land District, City “f New Plymouth, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 20.5 perches, more or less, being part Lot 12, D.P. 6356, being part Section 8, Grey District.

Authorising the Laying-off of a Street off Abbott Street, in the Borough of Gisborne, Subject to a Condition as to the Building Line

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1948 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Gisborne Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft. but not less than 50 ft., subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land adjoining the said street within a distance of 10 ft. from the centre-line of the said street.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the Gisborne Land District, Borough of Gisborne, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 6.6 perches, more or less, being parts Lots 2 and 3, D.P. 138, being part Sections 160 and 162, Gisborne Suburban. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 141023, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Vesting a Reserve in the Ashburton County Council

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for plantation purposes:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Ashburton:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 9 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Ashburton, in trust, for plantation purposes.
SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
RESERVE 4700, situated in Block III, Wakanui Survey District:
Area, 2 acres 3 roods 0.3 perch, more or less. Subject to the reservations and conditions imposed by section 59 of the Land Act 1948. (S.O. plan 8447L.)

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Waitara:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 9 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Waitara, in trust, for municipal buildings.
