A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as closed the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

Approximate area of the piece of road closed: 1 acre 30 perches. Adjoining part Allotment 390, Town of Grahamtown, and Crown land. Situated in Block XIII, Whangarei Survey District (Auckland R.D.) (S.O. 37465.) In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 141066, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Pursuant to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in the Schedule hereto, that road being no longer required.

The Otakeho Cemetery Order 1953

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day of August 1953 Present: THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to the Cemeteries Act 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Otakeho Cemetery Order 1953. (2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of September 1953.

  2. The Waimate West County Council is hereby appointed to be the Trustee of the Otakeho Cemetery, being the area described in the Schedule hereto, and shall have the control and management of the cemetery under and for the purposes of the Cemeteries Act 1908.

  3. The Order in Council dated the 15th day of January 1947 and published in the Gazette of the 23rd day of January 1947 at page 57, delegating to the Waimate West County Council the powers of appointing trustees for the said cemetery, is hereby revoked.

OTAKAHO CEMETERY

All that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing 3 acres 2 roods 20 perches, more or less, being Section 12, Block V, Waimate Survey District.

Varying an Order in Council Prohibiting Alienation of Maori Land

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day of August 1953 Present: THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to section 442 of the Maori Land Act 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby varies an Order in Council made on the 10th day of March 1943 and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 18 of 18 March 1943 at page 321, and affecting Matakana Island and Rangiwaea Island blocks by excluding therefrom the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Revoking a Licence Authorizing W. Guildford Todd, Medical Practitioner and Harry Maurice Crossleigh Dampier-Crossley, Farmer, both of Rotherham, to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity and to Erect and Use Electric Lines

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the Order in Council, dated the 10th day of July 1933 and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 13th day of the same month at page 1893, authorizing Frederick Rich Smale, Medical Practitioner, and Harry Maurice Crossleigh Dampier-Crossley, Farmer, both of Rotherham, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity and to erect and use electric lines, the rights, powers, and privileges under the said Order in Council having since been vested in W. Guildford Todd, Medical Practitioner, and the said Harry Maurice Crossleigh Dampier-Crossley, Farmer, both of Rotherham.
