Boundaries of the County of Waitemata Altered by Inclusion of Herald Island

A PROCLAMATION
P URSUANT to section 15 of the Counties Act 1920, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto adjacent to the County of Waitemata and known as Herald Island shall be included in the said county and shall be added to and form part of the Waitakere Riding of the said county; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and from the 20th day of September 1953.
SCHEDULE
AREA INCLUDED IN THE COUNTY OF WAITEMATA
ALL that area of approximately 86 acres in the North Auckland Land District, situated in Blocks VI and VII, Waitemata Survey District, being Allotment 15 and part of Allotment 15A, on Herald Island, in the Parish of Paremoremo, and being the land above the line of mean high water of the Waitemata Harbour.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 31st day of August 1953.

Land Reserved Under the Scenery Preservation Act 1908

A PROCLAMATION
W HEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), has recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
RESERVE 4708 (formerly part Section 19, Rakitairi Settlement), situated in Blocks XV and XVI, Opihi Survey District: Area, 84 acres, more or less. (S.O. plan 1437L.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 26th day of August 1953.

Land Set Apart as Provisional State Forest Declared to be Subject to the Land Act 1948

A PROCLAMATION
P URSUANT to subsection (2) of section 19 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting on the joint recommendation of the Minister of Lands and the Minister of Forests, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being part of Provisional State Forest No. 173 set apart by Proclamation dated the 7th day of October 1930 and gazetted on the 9th day of that month, is required for settlement purposes; and, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, such land shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State forest land, and shall become Crown land available for sale, lease, reservation, or other disposition under the provisions of the Land Act 1948.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT
Part Section 55, Block XIV, Oparara Survey District: Area, 124 acres, more or less. As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 22/4999, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 26th day of August 1953.
