Boundaries of Town District of Ohaupo Altered

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day of August 1953
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS, at the request of the Waipa County Council, the Local Government Commission, pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1946, has considered certain proposals for an alteration of the boundaries of the Town District of Ohaupo:
And whereas, pursuant to the said Act, the Local Government Commission has approved as final a scheme bearing date the 5th day of June 1953, providing for the exclusion of the area described in the Schedule to the said scheme from the Town District of Ohaupo:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to give effect to the final scheme and to make supplementary provisions for the purposes of the district hereby altered:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1946, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares:

That as on and from the 1st day of September 1953 the area described in the First Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the Town District of Ohaupo.

That the boundaries of the Town District of Ohaupo as so altered shall be as defined in the Second Schedule hereto.

That the alteration of boundaries of the said town district hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Town Boards Act 1908.
FIRST SCHEDULE
AREA EXCLUDED FROM THE TOWN DISTRICT OF OHAUPO
ALL that area of approximately 1 acre 3 roods and 20 perches in the Ohaupo Town District, bounded by a line commencing at a point being the intersection of the south-eastern boundary of Lot 19 on Deposited Plan numbered S. 1732, being part of Allotments 301, 302, and 430, Parish of Ngaroto, with the western boundary of the Ohaupo Town District and running northerly generally along the aforesaid western boundary, as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 59 of the 29th day of April 1915, page 1629, to the western corner of Lot 1 on Deposited Plan numbered 12939, being part of Allotment 174, Parish of Te Rapa; thence southerly and south-easterly generally along the eastern boundaries of Lots 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19 on Deposited Plan numbered S. 1732 aforesaid, to the point of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE TOWN DISTRICT OF OHAUPO
ALL that area of approximately 1,281 acres in the Waipa County, situated in Blocks X and XIV, Hamilton Survey District, bounded by a line commencing at the north-western corner of Allotment 191, Ngaroto Parish, and running easterly and southerly generally along the northern boundary of Allotment 191 aforesaid, the northern and eastern boundaries of Allotment 190, and along a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced across Kite Road, to and along its southern side, to and along the eastern and southern boundaries of Allotment 261, and along the western boundaries of Lots 1 and 2 on Deposited Plan numbered 30824, being part of Allotments 245, 246, and 249 crossing the intervening Ranby Road to the shores of Lake Rotomanuka; thence westerly generally along the north-western shore of the aforesaid Lake Rotomanuka, to and along the northern side of the Paterangi-Ohaupo Main Road to the south-western corner of Lot 1 on Deposited Plan numbered 11076, being part of Allotment 325; thence northerly generally along the western boundaries of Lots 1 and 2 on Deposited Plan numbered 11076 aforesaid, being part of Allotments 311 and 325 and the western and northern boundaries of part Allotment 327 as shown on Deposited Plan numbered 4016, and part Allotment 327 as shown on Deposited Plan numbered 6917, to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Allotment 324; thence along a right line across the Ngaringapouri-Ohaupo Main Road, to and along the eastern boundary of Allotment 324 aforesaid, and the eastern boundaries of Allotments 323, 322, 321, and 320 crossing the intervening North Island Main Trunk Railway to the northern corner of Allotment 304; thence easterly and northerly generally along the northern boundary of Allotment 304 aforesaid, to and along the public road forming the eastern boundaries of Lots 1 and 2 on Deposited Plan numbered 29788 aforesaid, being part of Allotments 301, 302, and 303, to the western side of the Great South Road; thence along a right line across the aforesaid Great South Road to the southernmost corner of Lot 20 on Deposited Plan numbered S. 1732, being part of Allotments 301, 302, and 430; thence northerly generally along the southern and eastern boundaries of Lots 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, and 6 on Deposited Plan numbered S. 1732 aforesaid, to the north-western corner of Allotment 191, the point of commencement; all the aforesaid allotments being of Ngaroto Parish.
