PARTNERSHIP ACT 1908

In the matter of Part II of the Partnership Act 1908, and
in the matter of A. G. SIMMS AND COMPANY, trading
as THE WAVERLEY BOOK SHOP.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to section 51 of the
above Act, a copy of the certificate appearing hereunder
was registered in the Supreme Court of New Zealand at
Auckland on the 3rd day of August 1953 under No. M. 240/53:
'Alan George Simms of Auckland Bookseller and Stationer
as a general partner in the abovenamed firm and The New
Zealand Insurance Company Limited and the said Alan George
Simms the trustees under a certain Deed of Trust made on
the 31st day of July 1953 between the said Alan George Simms
as settlor of the one part and the said The New Zealand
Insurance Company Limited and the said Alan George Simms
as trustees of the other part as joint special partners in the
abovenamed firm in the representative capacity of trustees
under the said Deed of Trust do hereby jointly and severally
certify for the purposes of section 51 of the Partnership Act
1908 that:
'(a) The business of A. G. Simms and Company afore-
said shall be conducted under the style or firm of 'A. G. Simms
& Company' trading as 'The Waverley Book Shop'.
'(b) (1) The place of residence of the said Alan George
Simms a general partner in the said business is 308 Kohi-
marama Road, Kohimarama, Auckland.
'(2) The registered office of The New Zealand insurance
Company Limited which jointly with the said Alan George
Simms in his representative capacity as trustee under the said
Deed of Trust is a special partner in the said business is at
Queen Street, Auckland aforesaid.
'(3) The place of residence of the said Alan George
Simms who jointly with the said The New Zealand Insurance
Company Limited in his representative capacity as trustee
under the said Deed of Trust is a special partner in the said
business is 308 Kohimarama Road, Kohimarama, Auckland as
aforesaid.
'(c) (1) The New Zealand Insurance Company Limited
and the said Alan George Simms as joint special partners in
their representative capacity as trustees under the aforesaid
mentioned Deed of Trust have jointly contributed as capital a
one-third share or interest in the said business of the partner-
ship such one-third share or interest for the purposes of
section 51 of the Partnership Act 1908 being valued at
£1540 15s. 5d.
'(2) The said Alan George Simms as a general partner
has contributed as capital a two-third share or interest in the
said business of the partnership such two-third share for the
purpose of section 51 of the Partnership Act 1908 being
valued at £3081 10s. 9d.
'(d) The general nature of the business to be transacted
by the partnership shall be that of Booksellers and Stationers.
'(e) The place at which the partnership business will be
conducted is at 18 Queen Street, Auckland, New Zealand.
'(f) The partnership shall commence on the third day of
August 1953 and will terminate on the second day of August
1960.

NOTICE is hereby given that CITY COMMISSION AGENCY,

NOTICE OF CHANGE OF SURNAME

RAYMOND WILLIS BARRINGTON, of Gisborne,
Bacteriologist, now lately called RAYMOND WILLIS JONES,
hereby give notice that on the 31st day of July 1953 I formally
and absolutely renounced, relinquished, and abandoned the
use of my said surname of JONES and then assumed and
adopted and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatso-
ever to use and subscribe the name of BARRINGTON instead of
the said name of JONES.

And I give further notice that by a deed poll dated the
31st day of July 1953, duly executed and filed in the Supreme
Court of New Zealand at Gisborne on the 4th day of August
1953, I formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the
said surname of JONES and declared that I had assumed and
adopted and intended thenceforth upon all occasions whatso-
ever to use and subscribe the name of BARRINGTON instead of
JONES, and so as to be at all times thereafter called, known,
and described by the name of Barrington exclusively.

issue new certificates of title to Shares Nos. 1079891 to
1079988, 326323 to 326424, 1042307 to 1042406, 986029 to
986128, 2581129 to 2581148, 2781721 to 2781732, inclusive,
in lieu of original certificates Nos. 6484, 6657, 7846, and 8446,
issued in the name of GEORGE DOLAN BERTINSHAW, of Sydney,
and the said George Dolan Bertinshaw has made a statutory
declaration that the original certificates of title to the said
shares have been lost.

Notice is hereby given that unless within thirty days
from the date hereof there is made to the company some
claim or representation in respect of the said original
certificates, new certificates will be issued in place thereof.

Advertisement of Cancelling

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly
Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly
Societies Act 1909, by writing under his hand dated this
5th day of August 1953, cancelled the registry of Loyal
Good Intention Lodge No. 4745 of the Nelson District of
the Manchester Unity Independent Order of Odd Fellows
(New Zealand) Friendly Society, Register No. 312(3)/10,
held at Riwaka, on the ground that the said branch has
ceased to exist.
