Declaring Lands in Canterbury and Otago Land Districts, Vested in the Canterbury and Otago Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools, to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen
[L.S.] C.W.M. NORRIE, Governor-General A PROCLAMATION WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Proclamation, declare that any school-site or part of a school-site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty; and thereupon the school-site, or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation:
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Canterbury Education Board, and the lands described in the Second Schedule hereto, being areas vested in the Otago Education Board as sites for public schools, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.
FIRST SCHEDULE CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT PART Reserve 944, situated in Block XV, Opihi Survey District: Area, 5 acres, more or less. As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/1156, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Land Reserved Under the Scenery Preservation Act 1908 [L.S.] C.W.M. NORRIE, Governor-General A PROCLAMATION WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), has recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the said Act, I Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.
SCHEDULE CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT RESERVE 4703, situated in Block VI, Oxford Survey District: Area, 66 acres 2 roods, more or less. All certificates of title, Volume 571, folio 2, Volume 20, folio 259, and Volume 80, folio 226 (shown as Lot 1, D.P. 16616, being part Rural Section 34278, and Rural Sections 11506 and 34522.) (S.O. plan 8598.)
