Revoking a Warrant Authorizing Erection of a Public Hall on
Mairangi Bay Domain, North Auckland Land District

PURSUANT to the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928,
I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke
Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby
revoke a Warrant dated the 5th day of April 1948, and
published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 8th day of that
month, authorizing the Mairangi Bay Domain Board to erect
a public hall on that portion of the Mairangi Bay Domain
described in the Schedule thereto.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 28th day of July 1953.

Lands Reserved in the North Auckland, Hawke's Bay, Nelson

WHEREAS by section 167 of the Land Act 1948, it is
enacted that the Governor-General may from time to
time set apart as a reserve, notwithstanding that the same
may be then held under pastoral lease or pastoral occupation
licence, any Crown land for any purpose, which, in his
opinion, is desirable in the public interest, and notice
thereof shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 167 of the said
Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke
Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby reserve,
subject to the reservations and conditions imposed by section
59 of the Land Act 1948, the lands in the North Auckland,
Hawke's Bay, Nelson and Otago Land Districts described
in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes specified
at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so
intended to be reserved.

approve of the following appointments, promotions,
transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New
Zealand Army:

Robert Graeme Gummer to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated
4 June 1953.
3rd Field Regiment, R.N.Z.A.
2nd Lieutenant J. A. Russell, from the 5th Light Regiment,
R.N.Z.A., to be 2nd Lieutenant, with seniority from 3 April
1951. Dated 25 May 1953.
5th Light Regiment, R.N.Z.A.
Lieutenant-Colonel E. C. W. Nathan relinquishes the
appointment of C.O., 5th Light Regiment, R.N.Z.A., and is
transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, 5th
Light Regiment, R.N.Z.A., with the rank of Lieutenant-
Colonel, with seniority from 1 April 1952. Dated 1 July 1953.
2nd Lieutenant J. A. Russell is transferred to the 3rd

2nd Lieutenant E. J. Somers, 1st Battalion, to be Lieu-
tenant. Dated 24 February 1953.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) M. R. Tulloch, 1st Battalion,
is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, The
Royal N.Z. Infantry Corps, with the rank of Captain. Dated
