Notice by the Public Trustee Under the Public Trust Office Act 1908 (Part III) and its Amendments

WHEREAS it has been reported to the Public Trustee that Edward William Newbert, formerly of Auckland, is the owner of ten fully paid £1 shares in Entertainments (N.Z.), Limited, and the sum of £29 representing accumulated dividends held by the said company on behalf of the said Edward William Newbert: And whereas the value of such shares and dividends does not exceed one thousand pounds (£1,000): And whereas it is not known where the said Edward William Newbert is or whether he is alive or dead: And whereas Part III of the Public Trust Office Act 1908 and its amendments provides (inter alia) that when it is not known where the owner of any real or personal property is or whether he is alive or dead, and the value of such real or personal property does not exceed one thousand pounds (£1,000) and that the exercise of the powers set out in section 87 of the said Act is advisable in the interests of such owner or of any other person, the Public Trustee may by notice in the Gazette declare his intention to take possession of such property and to exercise the powers conferred upon him by the said section 87 of the Public Trust Office Act 1908, and may thereafter exercise such powers without application to the Supreme Court:

Now the Public Trustee hereby gives notice that pursuant to Part III of the said Act he intends to take possession of the property above mentioned and to exercise in respect thereof the powers conferred upon him under and by virtue of the provisions of the said section 87 of the Public Trust Office Act 1908, as amended by section 21 of the Finance Act (No. 2) 1936.

Notice to Persons Affected by Applications for Licences Under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act 1936

Pharmacy Industry

F. H. Parsons, 724 Great South Road, Penrose, Auckland, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy at Coronation Road (between Church and McIntyre Roads), Mangere, Auckland.

T. L. Chirnside, 36 Alford Street, Waterview, Avondale, Auckland, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy at or near 1479 Great North Road, Waterview, Avondale, Auckland.

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit

B. C. Beavon, Maxwell Road, Blenheim, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on proposed service-station premises on the corner of Maxwell and New Renwick Roads, Blenheim.

L. D. Lamb, 5 Nei Street, Oamaru, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on motor-cycle premises at 5 Nei Street, Oamaru.

A. L. Clark, Mourea, Rotorua, has applied for permission to change the reselling point of one pump from its present position in front of store premises in Main Road, Mourea, to a new site 200 yards distant on a launch jetty at the rear of the store.

Dhanjee's General Stores, Ltd., Murupara, has applied for permission to move two pumps from their present position in front of store premises at the corner of the Rotorua and Whakatane Highway, to a new site half a mile distant on the Te Whaiti Highway, Murupara.

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than 6 August 1953, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to Secretary, Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 2492, Wellington.

NEW ZEALAND—SOUTH ISLAND—AWARUA RADIO STATION Coastal Weather Report Time Changes

MARINERS are advised that the daily broadcast times of coastal weather reports and forecasts from Awarua Radio Station (ZLB) will be changed from 0900 and 2100 hours to 0903 and 2103 hours respectively on 22 July 1953, at 2103 hours N.Z.S.T.
