Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in Hauraki Plains County (Notice No. Ag. 5460)

PURSUANT to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Minister of Agriculture hereby publishes the following special order made by the Hauraki Plains County Council on the 17th day of June 1953.

SPECIAL ORDER

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Hauraki Plains County Council hereby resolves by way of special order to declare the following noxious weeds, listed in the First Schedule of the said Act, to be noxious weeds in the County of Hauraki Plains:

Bathhurst Bur (Xanthium spinosum).

Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus).

Californian thistle, Canadian thistle, or creeping thistle (Cirsium arvense).

Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare).

Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea).

Gorse (Ulex, any species).

Hemlock (Conium maculatum).

Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea).

Sweetbrier (Rosa eglanteria syn. Rosa rubiginosa).

Water Hyacinth (Eichhornia Crassipes).

Winged thistle (Cardus tenuiflorus and Carduus pycnocephalus).
