Authorizing the North Canterbury Electric-power Board to Erect and Use Electric Lines Within the North Canterbury Electric-power District and Outer Area, and Revoking Previous Licences

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, and the Electric-power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the North Canterbury Electric-power Board (hereinafter with its successors and assigns referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use electric lines within the area of supply described in the First Schedule hereto; and further, for the purposes of section 76 of the Electric-power Boards Act 1925, subject to the said conditions, hereby authorizes the licensee to construct electric works within the said area of supply; and further, hereby revokes the Orders in Council referred to in the Second Schedule hereto, authorizing the licensee to erect and use certain electric lines.


CONDITIONS

IMPLIED CONDITIONS

  1. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS

  1. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution thereof respectively: Provided that the licensee shall not by virtue of this clause be required except in the normal course of alteration, repair, or maintenance, to re-construct in conformity with the regulations hereinbefore mentioned any electric lines or works which conformed to the regulations in force at the time of the construction thereof, and have not become hazardous lines as described in the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.

SYSTEM OF SUPPLY

  1. Bulk supply at a normal rated pressure of 11,000 volts shall be received from the State Hydro-electric Department’s substations at Southbrook, Waipara, and Culverden or from such other additional point or points of supply as may be mutually arranged between the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department and the licensee.

The system of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (e) and (f) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935. The normal rated pressures of the primary distribution lines shall be 11,000 volts, 6,600 volts, and 3,300 volts.

DURATION OF LICENCE

  1. This licence shall, unless sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 22nd day of May 1970.

The area of supply comprises:

(1) The North Canterbury Electric-power District as defined in the First Schedule to the Local Legislation Act 1933, and in the Proclamations referred to hereunder:

Revoking a Licence Authorizing Patrick Charles Fossitt Holland, of “Knocklofty”, Clinton, Farmer, to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and with the consent of the licensee, hereby revokes the Order in Council dated the 27th day of August 1934, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 30th day of the same month at page 2742, authorizing Frank Hudson and Locke Darling, both of “Willowburn,” Clinton, Farmers, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity, the rights, powers, and privileges under the said Order in Council having been assigned to Patrick Charles Fossitt Holland, of “Knocklofty,” Clinton, Farmer.

Revoking a Licence Authorizing Francis Joseph Delaney, of Inangahua Junction, to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity, and to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and with the consent of the licensee, hereby revokes the Order in Council dated the 6th day of August 1934, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 9th day of the same month at page 2448, authorizing Francis Joseph Delaney, of Inangahua Junction, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity and to erect and use certain electric lines.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby licenses and permits the Glendowie Boating Club (Inc.) of Glendowie (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore at Ahu Point, Tamaki Estuary, as shown on plan marked M.D. 9528 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of extending the boat-storage accommodation thereon as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
