At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of July 1953

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the land described in the Schedule hereto, together with the right of way appurtenant thereto, being taken for a music and dance hall.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land permitted to be taken: 1 rood 3·5 perches.
Being part Town Sections 276 and 277, being all the land in D.P. 3444, and D.P. 3595, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 247, folio 63 (Wellington Land Registry), together with the right of way over all that parcel of land being other part of Section 277, delineated and coloured yellow on the certificate of title above mentioned.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street off Derwent Street in the City of Wellington, Subject to Conditions as to Building Lines

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1948 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Wellington City Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less than 40 ft., subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on Lots 10 to 14 inclusive of a subdivision of the land adjoining the said street (as shown on the plan marked P.W.D. 140700, referred to in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of 36 ft. from the centre-line of the said street, or on Lots 15 to 19 inclusive of the said subdivision within a distance of 48 ft. from the centre-line of the said street, or on Lots 20 to 22 inclusive of the said subdivision within a distance of 30 ft. from the centre-line of the said street.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the Wellington Land District, City of Wellington, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 32·67 perches, more or less, being part Lots 15 and 17, D.P. 6613, part Lot 1, D.P. 8224, part Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 14039, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificates of title, Volume 324, folio 235; Volume 372, folio 250; Volume 534, folio 28; Volume 551, folio 205; Volume 539, folio 101 (Wellington Land Registry).
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 140700, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works, and thereon coloured red.

PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become Government road.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road declared to be Government road: 4·9 perches.

Authorizing Arnold and Sons Motors, Limited, to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in the Township of Whataroa, and Revoking an Existing Licence

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of July 1953
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes Arnold and Sons Motors, Limited, a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Whataroa (hereinafter referred to as the licensee) subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto; and further hereby revokes the Order in Council dated the 12th day of December 1935, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 19th day of the same month, at page 3984, authorizing Francis Patrick Butler, of Matainui, to erect certain electric lines, the rights, powers, and privileges under the said Order in Council having been assigned by the said Francis Patrick Butler to Muriel Lavina Arnold and Roy Kirkham Arnold, both of Whataroa, Garage-proprietors.
CONDITIONS
IMPLIED CONDITIONS
- The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
- The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.
SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
- The system of supply shall be an alternating-current system as described in paragraph (d) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.
DURATION OF LICENCE
- Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1956.
CHARGES ON SALE
- The charge for the sale of electrical energy shall not exceed 2s. 6d. per point (as defined in the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935) per calendar month.
SCHEDULE
LINES for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described commencing from the licensee’s generator situated in Lot 24 of Lot 1, D.P. 803, part Section 94, Block XIV, Whataroa Survey District, in the County of Westland, and proceeding to the licensee’s residence and garage, the post-office, a store, a bakery, the school, a public hall, the courthouse, the police residence, the telephone exchange, and seven other residences, the said lines and buildings being more particularly shown on the plan marked S.H.D. 251, deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.
