Pursuant to section 22 of the Statutes Amendment Act 1941, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the deposit by the Waitemata Electric-power Board with the Onehunga Borough Council, of the sum of Β£10,000 at credit of the Board's Power Fund Account for a period expiring on the 23rd day of July 1953.

Amending an Order in Council Reapportioning Representation on the Hawke's Bay Electric-power Board

Pursuant to the Electric-power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council dated the 16th day of March 1949, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 25th day of the same month, at page 827, revoking a previous Order in Council and reapportioning representation on the Hawke's Bay Electric-power Board, by deleting from the Schedule thereto the words 'Napier Borough' and 'Havelock North Town District', and substituting therefor the words 'Napier City' and 'Havelock North Borough' respectively.

Authorizing Hector Lewellyn Johnstone, of Otaio, Farmer, to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in the County of Waimate

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby grants, subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, a licence authorizing Hector Lewellyn Johnstone, of Otaio, Farmer (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

CONDITIONS

IMPLIRED CONDITIONS

1. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS

2. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, and the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.

SYSTEM OF SUPPLY

3. The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (d) of clause 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and shall be alternating current.

DURATION OF LICENCE

4. Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1974, or until electrical energy is available from an Electric-power Board or some other general public source of supply, whichever is the earlier.

SCHEDULE

LINES for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described, commencing from the licensee's powerhouse situated in R.S. 17746, Block III, Waimate Survey District, in the County of Waimate, and proceeding in a north-westerly direction across Horse-shoe Bend Road to a wool-shed situated in R.S. 19419, Block III, Waimate Survey District.

The said lines being more particularly shown by means of blue lines on the plan marked S.H.D. 120, deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.

Authorizing the Otago Electric-power Board to Erect and Use Electric Lines Within the Otago Electric-power District and Portion of the Outer Area of that District, and Revoking an Existing Licence

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric-power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Otago Electric-power Board (hereinafter with its successors and assigns referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use electric lines within the area of supply described in the First Schedule hereto; and further, for the purposes of section 76 of the Electric-power Boards Act 1925, subject to the said conditions, hereby authorizes the licensee to construct electric works within the said area of supply; and further, hereby revokes the Order in Council referred to in the Second Schedule hereto.

LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS

2. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively: Provided that the licensee shall not by virtue of this clause be required except in the normal course of alteration, repair, or maintenance, to re-construct in conformity with the regulations hereinbefore mentioned any electric lines or works which conformed to the regulations in force at the time of the construction thereof, and have not become hazardous lines as described in the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.

SYSTEMS OF SUPPLY

3. Bulk supply at a normal rated pressure of 11,000 volts or 33,000 volts shall be received from the State Hydro-electric Department's substations at Palmerston and at Milton, or from such other additional point or points of supply as may be mutually arranged between the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department and the licensee.

The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), (h), and (j) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935. The normal rated pressure of the series of street-lighting system shall not exceed 600 volts. The system of supply authorized under paragraph (j) aforesaid shall be a single-conductor earth-return system. The normal rated pressure of the main transmission lines shall be 33,000 volts. The normal rated pressures of the primary distribution lines shall be 11,000 volts and 6,600 volts. The use of the earth-return system of supply shall be subject to such terms and conditions as are from time to time laid down by the General Manager of the State Hydro-electric Department.

DURATION OF LICENCE

4. This licence shall, unless sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 10th day of November 1966.
