Metropolitan Fire Board

24th June 1953, as the time, and the offices of the Otago and
Southland Fire and Accident Underwriters’ Association,
Dunedin, as the place for the holding of a meeting of
representatives of the fire-insurance companies carrying on
business in New Zealand to elect a member of the Dunedin
Metropolitan Fire Board.

Notice Respecting Tariff Inquiry on Catgut

It is hereby notified that the report made by the Board of
Trade pursuant to the Board of Trade Notice No. 36*
respecting the rates of import duty imposed on the following
goods, namely, catgut which is included in Tariff item 449 (2)
(d) (catgut other than that classed under Tariff item 134 (3))
and in Tariff items 423 and 449 (2) (d) (imitation catgut),
has been considered by the Government and it has been decided
not to amend the duties at present imposed on such goods.
