Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations
Amendment Act 1948, His Excellency the Governor-
General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Lower Hutt City
Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street
described in the Schedule hereto at a width for the whole of
its length of less than 66 ft but not less than 50 ft.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the Wellington Land District, City
of Lower Hutt, being an extension of Myrtle Street, containing
by admeasurement 15.03 perches, more or less, being Lots 1
and 3 on a plan lodged for deposit as No. 15717, being part
Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 12061, and being part Section 21, Hutt
District, and being part of the land comprised and described
in certificates of title, Volume 482, folios 98 and 206
(Wellington Land Registry).

Revoking a Previous Order in Council and Reapportioning
Representation on the North Canterbury Electric-power Board

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 26th day of
May 1953
Present:
THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Electric-power Boards Act 1925, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes,
as from the date of the next general election of the representatives of the constituent districts of the North Canterbury
Electric-power District, the Order in Council dated the 23rd
day of March 1938 and published in the New Zealand Gazette
on the 24th day of the same month at page 512, apportioning representation on the North Canterbury Electric-power
Board, and hereby determines, in lieu thereof, that on and
after the said date the number of representatives of each
constituent district on the said Board shall be the number
specified in the Schedule hereto opposite the name of that
constituent district; and further determines that the constituent districts which are bracketed together in the first column
of the Schedule hereto are hereby constituted combined districts
for the purposes of the said Act, and that the local authority
of the constituent district distinguished in the first column of
the Schedule hereto by the letter ‘(P)’ shall be the principal
local authority of each such combined district; and further
determines that the first election of the representative of the
combined district of the County of Cheviot and part of the
County of Kaikoura shall be held on the date of the said
general election.

consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the
additional land described in the Schedule hereto being taken
for a public school.

PURSUANT to section 44 of the Public Reserves and
Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, hereby appoints
The member of the Thames County Council representing
the Hastings Riding, ex officio,
Wilfred Howard Buckley Colbeck,
Sarah Jane McMahon,
Selwyn Douglas McMahon,
Paul Russek,
James Andrew Scott Veitch, and
Louis Wenzlick
to be the Tapu Flat Domain Board, having control of the
land described in the Schedule hereto; and hereby appoints
Thursday, the 25th day of June 1953, at 7.30 o'clock p.m. as
the time when, and the Tapu Hall, as the place where, the first
meeting of the Board shall be held.

THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the control of the land described in the Schedule
hereto was vested in the Tuamarina Memorial Public
Hall Board as a reserve for a public hall site by an Order in
Council dated the 15th day of November 1950, and published
in the New Zealand Gazette of the 23rd day of that month,
pursuant to section 17 of the Public Reserves and Domains
Act 1928:
And whereas it is expedient that the said Order in Council
should be revoked:
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (2) of section 17
of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the Order in
Council hereinbefore referred to.
