Advertisement of Dissolution by Instrument
NOTICE is hereby given that The Napier Waterside Workers Sick and Benefit Society, Register No. 430, held at Napier, is dissolved by instrument, registered at this office the 13th day of May 1953, unless, within three months from the date of the Gazette in which this advertisement appears, proceedings be commenced by a member or other person interested in or having a claim on the funds of the society to set aside such dissolution, and the same be set aside accordingly.

WOOLWORTHS (NEW ZEALAND) LIMITED
LOST SHARE CERTIFICATE
APPLICATION has been made to the above company to issue a new certificate of title to shares Nos. 2591258 to 2591415, both inclusive, in lieu of original certificate No. 8004, issued in the name of KATHLEEN MARTHA PALFREYMAN, of ‘‘ The Elms, ’’ 452 Elizabeth Street, Hobart, Tasmania, and the said KATHLEEN MARTHA PALFREYMAN has made a statutory declaration that the original certificate of title to the said shares has been lost.
Notice is hereby given that, unless within thirty days from date hereof there is made to the company some claim or representation in respect of the said original certificate, a new certificate will be issued in place thereof.

TARARUA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Tararua Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £5,000 (to be known as Akitio Loan 1953), authorized to be raised by the Tararua Electric-power Board in New Zealand by special order under the above-mentioned Act and of all other Acts and authorities it thereunto enabling for the purpose of further reticulation in the Akitio County, the said Tararua Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·1485d. (decimal one four eight five) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in that portion of the rating area of the Tararua Electric-power District comprising the following special rating area—namely, the Akitio County as defined in the New Zealand Gazette No. 21 of 23 March 1922, and more particularly in the New Zealand Gazette No. 28 of 7 April 1938, at page 893; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.'
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Board held on the 15th day of May 1953.

That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £13,000 (to be known as Inner Area Loan 1953), authorized to be raised by the Tararua Electric-power Board in New Zealand by special order under the above-mentioned Act and of all other Acts and authorities it thereunto enabling for the purpose of further reticulation in the Counties of Pahiatua, Eketahuna, and Mauriceville, and in the Boroughs of Pahiatua and Eketahuna, the said Tararua Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 9/100 (nine one-hundredths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property in that portion of the rating area of the Tararua Electric-power District comprising the following special rating area—namely, the Board’s original district as defined in the New Zealand Gazette No. 21 of 23 March 1922; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.'
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Board held on the 15th day of May 1953.

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD PURPOSES UNDER PUBLIC WORKS ACT 1928
NOTICE is hereby given that the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Horowhenua require to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto. The lands are required for the purpose of a public work—namely, for road. Notice is hereby given that a plan of the said lands is open for inspection at the offices of the Horowhenua County Council, Bath Street, Levin.
All persons affected by such taking are hereby required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such work or to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Bath Street, Levin.
