Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the
additional land described in the Schedule hereto being taken
for post-and-telegraph purposes.

Vesting Reclaimed Land in Lake Rotorua in the Rotorua Borough Council

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 5th day of

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS it is provided by section 3 of the Rotorua
Borough Council Reclamation Empowering Act 1931
(hereinafter called the said Act), that the Rotorua Borough
Council may, subject to section 171 of the Harbours Act,
1923 (now section 178 of the Harbours Act 1950), reclaim
from the waters of Lake Rotorua the whole or any parts of
the area described in the Schedule to the said Act:
And whereas the Rotorua Borough Council (hereinafter
called the Council) was by Order in Council dated the 7th
day of May 1941, authorized to reclaim certain land from
the waters of Lake Rotorua, as shown on the approved plan
marked M.D. 8079, and deposited in the office of the Marine
Department at Wellington:
And whereas part of the land, as shown coloured yellow
and sepia on the plan marked M.D. 9364, has been reclaimed to
the satisfaction of the Minister of Marine:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the said Act, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council, hereby vests in the Council
all that land reclaimed from the waters of Lake Rotorua
shown coloured yellow and sepia on the said plan marked
M.D. 9364, and deposited in the office of the Marine
Department at Wellington, such vesting in the Council to
date from the 1st day of May 1953.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street off Rose Street in the City of Christchurch, Subject to a Condition as to the Building-line

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 19th day of
May 1953
Present:
THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations
Amendment Act 1948 and section 125 of the Public
Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
hereby authorizes the Christchurch City Council to permit
the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule
hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft.,
but not less than 50 ft., subject to the condition that no
building or part of a building shall at any time be erected
on the land shown edged green on the P.W.D. plan referred
to in the said Schedule within a distance of 48 ft. from the
centre-line of the said street.

SCHEDULE

THAT proposed street in the Canterbury Land District, City
of Christchurch, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 23
perches, more or less, being part Lots 11 and 12, D.P. 1968,
being part Rural Section 76.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked P.W.D. 140017, deposited in the office of the Minister
of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring the Waipapakauri Farm Settlement Road, Mangonui County, to be County Road

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 19th day of
May 1953
Present:
THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
orders and declares that the road described in the Schedule
hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council,
become county road.

SCHEDULE

ALL that portion of road in the North Auckland Land District,
Mangonui County, situated in Block X, Rangaunu Survey
District, known as the Waipapakauri Farm Settlement Road,
commencing at the north-eastern corner of Section 9 of the
aforesaid Block X and proceeding thence in a southerly
direction generally for a distance of approximately 34 chains,
and terminating at the south-eastern corner of Section 13
of the aforesaid Block X. (S.O. Plan 35595.) As the same
is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D.
140200, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at
Wellington, and thereon coloured red and marked A-B.

Declaring the Otaki Farm Settlement Road in the Horowhenua County to be County Road

Present:
THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
orders and declares that the portion of road described in the
Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order
in Council, become county road.

SCHEDULE

ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District,
Horowhenua County, commencing at its junction with the
Makariki Stream and proceeding thence in a north-westerly
direction for a distance of 14.5 chains and thence in a
south-westerly direction for a distance of 10.5 chains, more
or less, adjoining Sections 21 to 32 inclusive of Block IX,
Waitohu Survey District (Otaki Farm Settlement).
As the said portion of the road is delineated on the plan
marked P.W.D. 140159, deposited in the office of the Minister
of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
