Vesting a Reserve in the Raetihi Borough Council

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 5th day of May 1953
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for gravel purposes:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Raetihi:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 9 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Raetihi, in trust, for gravel purposes.

Recreation Reserve in the Canterbury Land District Brought Under Part II of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 34 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the reserve for recreation in the Canterbury Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act, and such reserves shall hereafter form part of the Hinds No. 2 Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain by the Hinds No. 2 Domain Board.

PART Reserve 2406, situated in Block VI, Hinds Survey District: Area, 1 acre 3 roods 9 perches, more or less.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/33R, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Revoking the Reservation Over a Reserve in Block VII, Kaiteriteri Survey District, Nelson Land District

PURSUANT to subsection (1) (b) of section 7 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the reservation for a site for a roadman's cottage over the land described in the Schedule hereto, and hereby declares that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act 1948.

PURSUANT to subsection (1) (b) of section 7 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the reservation for railway conservation purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto, and hereby declares that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act 1948.

Consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £4,500 by the Teviot Electric-power Board and Prescribing the Conditions Thereof

ORDER IN COUNCIL

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the Teviot Electric-power Board (hereinafter called the said local authority), being desirous of raising a loan of four thousand five hundred pounds (£4,500) to be known as 'Knobbies Area Rural Reticulation Loan 1953' (hereinafter called the said loan) for the purpose of reticulating the Knobbies area of the Teviot Electric-power District, has complied with the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926 (hereinafter called the said Act) and it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council, as required by the said Act, should be given to the raising of the said loan:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 11 of the said Act, as set out in section 29 of the Finance Act 1932 (No. 2), His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the raising in New Zealand by the said local authority of the said loan for the said purpose up to the amount of four thousand five hundred pounds (£4,500), and in giving such consent hereby determines as follows:—
- The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be raised shall not exceed fifteen (15) years.
- The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding four pounds (£4) per centum per annum.
- The said loan or any part thereof shall be repaid by equal annual instalments of principal extending over the term of the loan as determined in 1 above.
- The payment of interest and the repayment of principal in respect of the said loan shall be made in New Zealand.
- No amount payable either as interest or as principal in respect of the said loan shall be paid out of loan-moneys.
- The rate payable for brokerage, underwriting, and procurement fees in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed one-half per centum of any amount raised.
- No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the expiration of two years from the date hereof.
