Tramways Within the Wanganui, Dunedin, New Plymouth,
Christchurch, and Wellington Tramway Districts

A PROCLAMATION
P URSUANT to section 6 of the Tramways Amendment
Act 1913, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby
Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
hereby revoke the Proclamations dated the 16th day of May
1942 and published in the Gazette of the 28th day of the
same month, at page 1451, the 5th day of August 1942 and
published in the Gazette of the 6th day of the same month,
at page 1985, and the 26th day of June 1946 and published
in the Gazette of the 4th day of July 1946, at page 941,
suspending the operation of section 2 of the Tramways
Amendment Act 1913, in respect of the tramways situated
within the Wanganui, Dunedin, New Plymouth, Christchurch,
and Wellington Tramway Districts constituted under the
Tramways Act 1908.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 12th day of May 1953.

Suspending as to Part the Provisions of Section 2 of the
Tramways Amendment Act 1910 in Respect of the Tram-
ways Within the Wellington, Christchurch, and New
Plymouth Districts

A PROCLAMATION
P URSUANT to section 6 of the Tramways Amendment Act
1913, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke
Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
suspend the operation of section 2 of the Tramways Amend-
ment Act 1910, in respect of the tramways situated within
the Wellington, Christchurch, and New Plymouth Tramway
Districts constituted under the Tramways Act 1908, in so
far as the said section requires that every application for
examination as a motorman shall be accompanied by a certifi-
cate signed by the manager of some electric tramway that the
applicant has served as a conductor on an electric tramway
in New Zealand for a period of not less than one year.

General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 12th day of May 1953.

Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare

taken for the purposes of the Avondale–Onehunga–Southdown
railway, and that the land described in the Second Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for a street diversion in connection
therewith.
