CORRIGENDUM

IN the New Zealand Gazette, No. 22, dated 23 April 1953, page 648, under the heading ‘Notice Affected by Applications for Licences Under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act 1936’, notice was given of applications having been made by—

‘C. Kendall, 890 Beach Road, Brown’s Bay, Auckland, for a licence to resell motor-spirit from two pumps to be installed on service-station and garage premises at 890 Beach Road, Brown’s Bay, Auckland, and

‘Waitoki Hall Co., Ltd., Kaukapakapa, for a licence to resell motor-spirit from two pumps to be installed on service-station and garage premises at Kaukapakapa.’

This notice is hereby cancelled, and the following substituted therefor:—

‘C. Kendall, corner Beach Road and Auld Street, Torbay, Auckland, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from two pumps to be installed on proposed service-station and garage premises on the corner of Beach Road and Auld Street, Torbay, Auckland.

‘P. F. Butt and J. E. Randall, Waitoki, have applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from two pumps to be installed on service-station and garage premises at Waitoki.

‘Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than 21 May 1953, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to Secretary, Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 2492, Wellington.’

Land Reserved Under the Scenery Preservation Act 1908

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), has recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, pursuant to the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 6 acres 2 roods 9 perches, more or less, being Lot 1 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Dunedin under No. 7655, being part Section 60, Block I, Waikouaiti Survey District. Subject to X 14889 exempting road frontages from the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, subject to a condition as to building-line.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 6th day of May 1953.

Land Subject to the Housing Act 1919 Declared Crown Land Available for Reservation Under the Land Act 1948

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (1) of section 8 of the Housing Amendment Act 1940, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare the land described in the Schedule hereto, being land subject to the Housing Act 1919, to be Crown land available for reservation under the Land Act 1948.

SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area situated in Block XI, Port Nicholson Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 36·81 perches, more or less, being Lot 61 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington under No. 15414, being part Section 12, Watts Peninsula District, and being also part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 511, folio 188 (Wellington Registry).

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 6th day of May, 1953.
