Vesting the Control of Scenic Reserves in the Tuatapere Scenic Board

Pursuant to section 13 of the Scenery Preservation Act 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby extends the period for which the control of the reserves described in the Schedule hereto (being the Tuatapere Scenic Reserves) was vested in the Tuatapere Scenic Board, as constituted by a Warrant dated the 28th day of July 1947, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 31st day of that month, from the 28th day of July 1952 to the 29th day of July 1954, and hereby declares that the provisions of the said Warrant shall continue in force for the said extended period.

SCHEDULE

SOUTHAND LAND DISTRICT--TUATAPERE SCENIC RESERVES

SECTION 11 and part Section 5, Block II, and Section 66, Block III, Alton Survey District: Area, 134 acres 1 rood 34 perches, more or less.

Also Section 6A and part Section 6, Block II, Alton Survey District: Area, 104 acres 1 rood 11 perches, more or less.

Also Section 28 (Manuka or Tuatapere Island), Block III, Alton Survey District: Area, 123 acres, more or less.

Also Section 63, Block III, Alton Survey District: Area, 36 acres 1 rood, more or less.

Lands Reserved in the North Auckland and Otago Land Districts

WHEREAS by section 167 of the Land Act 1948, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart as a reserve, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral lease or pastoral occupation licence, any Crown land for any purpose which, in his opinion, is desirable in the public interest, and notice thereof shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 167 of the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby reserve, subject to the reservations and conditions imposed by section 59 of the Land Act 1948, the lands in the North Auckland and Otago Land Districts, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be reserved.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area situated in Block XVI, Waitemata Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 28.1 perches, more or less, being Lot 19 shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under No. 37680, being part Allotment 37, Parish of Titirangi. (S.O. plan 37573.)

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT

Notice of Intention to Issue an Order in Council Revoking the Reservation Over the Waipapakauri Domain, North Auckland Land District

WHEREAS by section 41 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), it is provided that the Governor-General may from time to time by Order in Council, but subject to compliance with the requirements of subsection (2) of section 7 of the said Act, declare that the land comprised in a public domain or part thereof shall cease to be subject to Part II of the said Act; and, further, may declare either that such land shall be a public reserve for the purposes of Part I of the said Act, or Crown land available for disposal by way of sale for cash under the Land Act 1948:

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is known as the Waipapakauri Domain but it not required for domain purposes, and it is expedient to revoke the reservation over the said land;
