Authorizing the Ashley County Council to Sell Timber Upon
Portions of the Rangiora-Oxford via Loburn Road and
the Cust Road, in the County of Ashley
C. W. M. NORRIE, Governor-General
PURSUANT to section 140 of the Public Works Act 1928,
I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke
Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby authorize
the Ashley County Council to sell or contract to sell and
remove timber upon portion of Rangiora-Oxford via Loburn
Road, adjoining Rural Section 23400, situated in Block XIV,
Mount Thomas Survey District, and Rural Section 24883,
situated in Block II, Mairaki Survey District, and portion of
Cust Road in Rural Section 31831, situated in Block II,
Mairaki Survey District. As the same are more particularly
delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 139911, deposited in
the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 20th day of April 1953.

No. 10—Appointment of Greymouth Port Conciliation
Committee
PURSUANT to the Waterfront Industry Emergency Regula-
tions 1946, Amendment No. 10, the Minister of Labour
doth hereby appoint the following persons to be the Port
Conciliation Committee for the Port of Greymouth for a term
expiring on the 31st day of March 1954:
Donald David Alexander McPherson, Chairman; and
Louis Henry Oscar Bohmann, Clifford Edmund Heaphy,
and Andrew Lindsay McKay (nominated by New
Zealand Port Employers’ Association Incorporated)
and Harold Frederick Coombs (nominated by
General Manager of Railways); and

Committee
PURSUANT to the Waterfront Industry Emergency Regula-
tions 1946, Amendment No. 10, the Minister of Labour
doth hereby appoint the following persons to be the Port
Conciliation Committee for the Port of Timaru for a term
expiring on the 31st day of March 1954:
Henry James Roberts Somerville, Chairman; and
Richard Lloyd Ramsay Davidson, Percival Lawrence Le
Marquand, and Leslie John Warren (nominated by
the New Zealand Port Employers’ Association
Incorporated) and Eric George Harvey (nominated
by General Manager of Railways); and
Edward Dugan, William Keenan, James Gray Macdonald,

Bowyer Corbett, Minister of Lands for the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby appoint, as from the 1st day of
April 1953, the undermentioned persons to be members of
the Survey Board constituted by the said Act:

the last mentioned two persons having been nominated by

Irikau Kingi, of Rotorua,
Manu Ruhi Pene, of Rotorua, and
Te Kotahitanga Tait, of Rotorua,
to act as Maori Interpreters of the First Grade under the
provisions of the Maori Land Act 1931, and the regulations
made thereunder.
