CARTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Street Improvements Loan, 1952, £2,500
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and its amendments, and all other powers it in that behalf enabling, the Carterton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of two thousand five hundred pounds (£2,500), being the Street Improvement Loan 1952, authorized to be raised by the Carterton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making improvements to streets within the borough, the Carterton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of four-sevenths of a penny (4/7d.), in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the Borough of Carterton; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years from the 31st day of May 1953, or until such loan is fully paid off.'
The Carterton Borough Council, at a meeting held on 24th day of March 1953, passed the above resolution.

CARTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
General Purposes Amalgamated Loan, 1952, £12,000, Second Issue of £3,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and its amendments, and all other powers it in that behalf enabling, the Carterton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of three thousand pounds, being part of the General Purposes Amalgamated Loan 1952, of twelve thousand pounds (£12,000) authorized to be raised by the Carterton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act
for the purpose of making additions to the water reticulation, providing a new municipal building, and carrying out additions and alterations to the State Theatre, the Carterton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-one thirty-fifths of a penny (21/35d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the Borough of Carterton; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, from the 31st day of May 1953, or until such loan is fully paid off.'"
The Carterton Borough Council, at a meeting held on 24th day of March 1953, passed the above resolution.

INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Invercargill City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal, interest, and other charges on the Invercargill City Council Housing Loan 1950 of £17,500, first issue 1953, of £4,000, authorized to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing flats for employees and to exercise the powers vested in the Council by section 19 of the Local Legislation Act 1952, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought two eight pence (0.028d.) in the pound on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.'"
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City Council held on Wednesday, 18 March 1953.
