SOUTH WESTLAND FISHERIES LIMITED
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION
PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act 1933,
notice is hereby given that at a special meeting of the
above-named company held on Tuesday, the 17th day of March
1953, the following resolution was passed:-
"That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that
Mr. FREDERICK ANDREW HUGHES, of Greymouth, be and he is
hereby appointed liquidator of the company.

WAIKATO COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waikato County
Council proposes to execute certain public works-to
wit, the deviation of a road-for which purpose the lands
described in the Schedule hereto require to be taken by the
Waikato County Council under the provisions of the Public
Works Act 1928, sections 22 and 23. A plan of the lands
required to be taken as aforesaid is open for inspection at
the office of the Te Kauwhata Town Board, Te Kauwhata.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth
in writing any well-founded objections to the execution of such
works or to the taking of such lands and to send such writing
to the Waikato County Council, Grey Street, Hamilton East,
within forty days from the date of the first publication of
this notice.

- 1-3 perches, being part Allotment 232, Whangamarino
Parish, coloured sepia. - 16-8 perches, being part Allotment 233B, Whangamarino

All situated in Block XVI, Maramarua Survey District,
County of Waikato, Land Registration District of Auckland,
Land District of South Auckland, and shown on Survey
Office Plan No. 35598, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION
NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 232 of the
Companies Act 1933, that a general meeting of the
members of the above-named company will be held at Booth
and Chapman's Buildings, Hamilton, on Wednesday, the 15th
day of April 1953, at 10.30 o'clock in the forenoon, for the
purpose of having an account laid before them showing the
manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the
property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any
explanation that may be given by the liquidator, and also
of determining by resolution the manner in which the books,
accounts, and documents of the company and of the liquidator
thereof shall be disposed of.

GISBORNE BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the
Gisborne Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:-
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and
other charges on a loan of £299,800, authorized to be raised
by the Gisborne Borough Council under the above-mentioned
Act for the purpose of meeting the cost of renewing Waingake
and Te Arai water-supply pipelines and undertaking incidental
works including the purchase of land in the vicinity of
Smith's Creek, the said Gisborne Borough Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of threepence and seventeen
sixty-fourths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable
value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable
property of the Borough of Gisborne comprising the whole
of the Borough of Gisborne; and that such special rate shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan
and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of thirty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct
extract from the minutes of a meeting of the Gisborne
Borough Council held on the 17th day of March 1953.

GISBORNE BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the
Gisborne Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:-
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and
other charges on a loan of £195,000, authorized to be raised
by the Gisborne Borough Council under the above-mentioned
Act for the purpose of extending sewerage reticulation to
non-reticulated areas, installing sewerage mains and pumping
stations to form the first stage of works for ultimate disposal
of all Borough sewerage at Sponge Bay, extending water
reticulation and constructing a water-supply reservoir at Kaiti
with feeder main, the said Gisborne Borough Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of twopence and one-eighth of
a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis
of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the
Borough of Gisborne comprising the whole of the Borough
of Gisborne; and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be
payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
thirty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct
extract from the minutes of a meeting of the Gisborne
Borough Council held on the 17th day of March 1953.

BANKS PENINSULA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, and
of all other Acts and powers it thereunto enabling, the Banks
Peninsula Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:-
"That, for the purpose of providing for the payment
of interest, principal, and other charges on the Workers'
Dwellings Loan 1952, £6,500, authorized to be raised by the
Banks Peninsula Electric-power Board under the above-
mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting two workers'
dwellings and refunding Power Fund Account the cost of
purchasing the land on which these houses are to be erected,
the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of
one-thirtieth of a penny (1/30d.) in the pound (£1) on the
rateable property (on the basis of the capital value) of all
rateable property in the Banks Peninsula Electric-power
District; and that such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be
payable annually on the 1st day of June in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
Dated at Little River, this 17th day of March 1953.

PATANGATA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Patangata
County Council hereby resolves as follows:-
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and
other charges on a loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised
by the Patangata County Council under the above-mentioned
Act for Rural Housing Loan, the said Patangata County
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·056d. in the
pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable
property over the whole of the County of Patangata; and
that such special rate will be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the
5th day of August and on the 5th day of February in each
year and every year during the currency of such loan, being
a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid
off."
The above resolution was passed at a special meeting
of Council held at 12 o'clock on Tuesday, 10 March 1953.
