Price Order No. 1454 (Amendment No. 4 of Price Order
No. 1394) (Eggs) South Island, Excluding Nelson Egg
Marketing Area and Blenheim and Picton Districts

Pursuant to the Control of Prices Act 1947, the Price
Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of
Industries and Commerce, hereby makes the following amend-
ing Price Order:

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 1454, and
    shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order
    No. 1394* (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).
  2. This Order shall come into force on the 16th day
    of March 1953.
  3. The principal Order is hereby amended by revoking
    clauses 7 and 8 thereof and substituting the following
    clauses:

“FIXING MAXIMUM PRICES OF EGGS TO WHICH THIS ORDER
APPLIES

Wholesale Prices

7 (1) The maximum price that may be charged or
received by any wholesaler (including a producer selling
otherwise than by way of retail) for any eggs to which this
Order applies, shall be—

Per Dozen, Fresh.
Elsewhere in
South Island,
Westland Excluding Nelson
District. Egg Marketing Area
and Blenheim and
Picton Districts.

For Hen Eggs—
s. d. s. d.
“Large 5 1½ 4 9½
“Small 4 3½ 3 11½
“Mixed 4 8½ 4 2½

For Duck Eggs—
“Large 5 1½ 4 9½
“Small 4 9½ 4 5½
“Mixed 4 9½ 4 5½

“(2) Every wholesaler (including a producer selling
otherwise than by way of retail) who sells any eggs to which
this Order applies shall specify in the relevant invoices with
respect to each item the classification of the eggs comprised
in the item.

Retail Prices

  1. The maximum price that may be charged or received
    by any retailer for any eggs to which this Order applies shall
    be—

Westland Elsewhere in
District. South Island,
Excluding Nelson Egg Marketing Area
and Blenheim and
Picton Districts.

For Hen Eggs—
