TURAKINA BLACKSMITHS, LIMITED

In the matter of the Companies Act 1933, and in the matter of
TURAKINA BLACKSMITHS, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that an Order of the Supreme Court of
New Zealand dated the 8th day of November 1952 confirming
the reduction of the capital of the above-named company from
£1,150 to £575 and the minute approved by the Court showing with
respect to the capital of the company, as altered, the several particulars required by the above-mentioned Act was registered by the
Registrar of Companies on the 17th day of November 1952. The
said minute is in the words and figures following :-

“'The capital of Turakina Blacksmiths, Limited, henceforth
is five hundred and seventy-five pounds (£575) divided into one
thousand one hundred and fifty (1,150) shares of ten shillings (10s.)
each reduced from one thousand one hundred and fifty pounds
(£1,150) divided into one thousand one hundred and fifty (1,150)
shares of one pound (£1) each. At the time of the registration of
this minute the sum of ten shillings (10s.) has been and is deemed to
be paid up on each of the said shares.”

WAIRARAPA CATCHMENT BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Kahutara River District Renewal Loan No. 1, 1952, £5,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Wairarapa
Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows :-

“'That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £5,000, authorized to be raised by the Wairarapa
Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Act for the repayment
of the Kahutara River Board Conversion Loan No. 1, the said
Wairarapa Catchment Board hereby makes and levies a special rate
of twopence halfpenny (2½d.) in the pound unimproved value upon
the rateable value of all rateable property of the Kahutara River
District comprising the whole area of the Kahutara River Board
(now abolished); and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable
yearly on the lst day of April in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of eight years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.”

This resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Wairarapa
Catchment Board held on Tuesday, 28 October 1952, and confirmed
at an ordinary meeting of the Board held on Tuesday, 25 November
1952.

HEREBY give notice that by an Order of the Supreme Court,
Christchurch, dated the 26th day of November 1952, I was
appointed administrator of the estate of the above-named LEOPOLD
HENRI SERIN and I hereby call a meeting of creditors to be held at
my office in Maling's Building, 184 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch,
on Tuesday, 9 December 1952, at 2.15 p.m.

All claims against the above estate must be lodged with me
on or before 9 December 1952.

THE MUSIC TEACHERS REGISTRATION ACT 1928

NOTICE is hereby given that an election, in terms of the
regulations, was held in the Board's Office on Wednesday,
26 November 1952, for the district of Wellington; those elected
coming into office in April 1953.

Votes were recorded as stated below: four voting papers
were rejected as informal:-

Stanley Oliver, 89 ; H. Temple White, 70 ; Gertrude Johnston,
61 ; Charles Martin, 46 ; J. Holmes Runnicles, 19.

I therefore declare Stanley Oliver and H. Temple White to be
duly elected.

For the Auckland District Henry Shirley and H. G. Cook were
nominated for two vacancies.

For the Canterbury District Ernest Empson and L. C. Barnes
were nominated for two vacancies.

For the Otago District Mary Martin and Roy Spackman were
nominated for two vacancies.

No elections were necessary in these districts.

AUCKLAND ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Auckland
Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :-

“'That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest,
and other charges on a loan of £458,000 known as the General
Extension and Improvements Loan 1952, of £458,000, being portion
of an authorized loan of £500,000 for the general extension and
improvement of the electricity supply undertaking in the Auckland
Electric-power District, the Auckland Electric-power Board hereby
makes and levies a special rate of one-tenth of a penny (1/10d.) in
the pound (£) on the rateable value on the basis of capital value
of all rateable property in the Auckland Electric-power District
comprising the City of Auckland, together with the Boroughs of
Ellerslie, Howick, Onehunga, Otahuhu, Manurewa, Mount Albert,
Mount Eden, Mount Roskill, Mount Wellington, One Tree Hill,
Newmarket, Papakura, and Papatoetoe, the Road District of Pan-
mure and the County of Manukau : and that such special rate shall
be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and shall be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RANGIORA BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Acts
amending the same.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Mayor, Councillors, and
Burgesses of the Borough of Rangiora, a body corporate
constituted under the Municipal Corporations Act 1933, proposes
to take under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 and its
amendments the land described in the Schedule hereto for the
following public work-that is to say, for a street to be an extension
of Blackett Street within the Borough of Rangiora; and notice
is hereby further given that a plan showing the land to be taken
and the names of the owners and occupiers of such land is deposited
at the office of the Town Clerk of Rangiora aforesaid, where it lies
open for public inspection daily, without fee, during all reasonable
hours; and that all persons affected shall, if they have any well-
grounded objections to the taking of such land set forth in writing
such objections, and send such writing within forty days from the
28th day of November 1952 (being the date of the first publication
of this notice) addressed to the Town Clerk, Rangiora.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land situate in the Borough of Rangiora containing
by admeasurement 8 perches, more or less, being part of Rural
Section 1045 and being part of the land described in Deed of
Conveyance Registered No. 11018 (20 D 724 Canterbury Deeds
Registry) and being part of the land as is shown coloured in yellow
on the plan endorsed on certificate of title, Volume 382, folio 267,
limited as to parcels (Canterbury Land Registry Office) and thereon
marked “Right of Way” and being more particularly shown
coloured in orange on a plan deposited in the office of the Chief
Surveyor at Christchurch, and thereon numbered 8523.
