Authorizing the Wairoa County Council to Sell Timber Upon Portion of Nuhaka River Road, in the County of Wairoa

PURSUANT to section 140 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Humphrey Francis O’Leary, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby authorize the Wairoa County Council to sell or contract to sell and remove timber upon portion of Nuhaka River Road, adjoining Nuhaka 2B 2J 2 and 2B 2J 3 Blocks, situated in Block XIV, Nuhaka North Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 138850, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, this 28th day of November 1952.

Appointing Three Members of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Council

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, I, Sir Humphrey Francis O’Leary, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby appoint :—

Reginald Trevor Smith, Esquire, of Wellington, Civil Engineer, as the officer of the Ministry of Works ; and

Francis James Foster, Esquire, of Taikorea, Farmer, as representing River Boards and Drainage Boards ; and

Lancelot William McCaskill, Esquire, of Christchurch, Associate Professor of Rural Education, as representing Catchment Boards of the South Island ; to be Members of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Council for a term commencing on the 10th day of December 1952 and terminating on the 7th day of July 1957.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, this 28th day of November 1952.
