CORRIGENDUM
IN the notice dated the 21st day of October 1952, and published
in New Zealand Gazette No. 68 of the 30th day of October 1952,
at page 1783, declaring land to be subject to Part I of the Maori
Land Amendment Act 1936, for "Marangairoa 1A 5 (C.T. 23/129)"
in Schedule read "Marangairoa 1A 6 (C.T. 23/129)."

Application of Dogs Registration Act 1908 Extended to Chatham
Islands County

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, by Proclamation issued pursuant to the Dog
Registration Act Amendment Act 1895 on the 17th day of
February 1896, that part of the Colony of New Zealand called the
Chatham Islands was excluded from the operation of certain portions
of the Dog Registration Act 1880 specified in the said Proclamation :
And whereas section 1 of the Dogs Registration Act 1908
provides that all Proclamations which originated under the Dog
Registration Act Amendment Act 1895 shall enure for the purposes
of the Dogs Registration Act 1908 as fully and effectually as if they
had originated under the corresponding provisions of that Act:
And whereas it is considered desirable to make provision with
regard to the registration of dogs in Chatham Islands County:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 32 of the Dogs Registration
Act 1908, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke
Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim
and declare that the operation of the Dogs Registration Act 1908
is hereby extended to Chatham Islands County, and the said
Proclamation issued on the 17th day of February 1896 is hereby
revoked:
And I further declare that this Proclamation shall take effect
as on and from the 1st day of January 1953.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 3rd day
of December 1952.

Varying a Proclamation Proclaiming a Tribal District Under the
Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 6 of the Maori Social and Economic
Advancement Act 1945, I, Sir Humphrey Francis O'Leary,
the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby vary
the Proclamation made on the 17th day of November 1950 and pub-
lished in the Gazette on the 23rd day of November 1950 at page 1999,
declaring certain parts of New Zealand to be a tribal district for the
purpose of the said Act, by excluding from the Schedule thereto the
description of the Rangiriri Tribal District and substituting therefor
the description appearing in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
RANGIRIRI TRIBAL DISTRICT
ALL that area in the North Auckland and South Auckland Land
Districts bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Station 72 in Block
IV, Awaroa Survey District ; thence proceeding north-easterly along
a right line to Trig. Station 98 in Block V, Mamarua Survey District,
a right line to the northernmost corner of Section 131, Koheroa Parish
(Block I, Mamarua Survey District), a right line to Trig. Station B
in Block XIV, Opaheke Survey District, and a right line to the south-
western corner of Lot 5 on the plan numbered 9284 deposited in the
office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland (Block XV, Opaheke
Survey District) ; thence easterly along a right line to the intersection
of the middle of the Pokeno-Miranda Road with the western boundary
of the Wharekawa Survey District; thence south-easterly along
a right line to Trig. Station 135 (Rataroa) in Block VIII, Wharekawa
Survey District, a right line to the north-western corner of Section
28, Block VII, Piako Survey District, along the south-western bound-
aries of the said Section 28, parts Sections 4 and 5 of the said Block
VII, part Section 12 of Block VII aforesaid, and Lot 2 of the said
Section 12, along the abutment of a public road, another part of
the south-western boundary of the said Section 12, the abutment of
another public road, and a further part of the south-western boundary
of the said Section 12, and the south-western boundary of Section 5,
Block XI, Piako Survey District, and along the western boundary of
Section 1, Block XV, Piako Survey District, to Trig. Station 2042
(Ratawera), being a point on the boundary of Te Au-o-Waikato
Tribal District as described in New Zealand Gazette of 1950 at page
884 ; thence south-westerly along the boundary of that district to the
confluence of the Mangawara Stream with the Komakorau Stream,
being a point on the boundary of the Taniwharau Tribal District as
described in New Zealand Gazette of 1950 at page 855 ; thence north-
westerly generally along that district boundary to Trig. Station 72,
the point of commencement.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of
the Government, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 25th day of November 1952.
