NEW ZEALAND FRIENDLY SOCIETIES ACT 1909 Advertisement of Cancelling NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 17th day of November 1952, cancelled the registry of Court Victoria, No. 8042, of the United Otago District of the Ancient Order of Foresters (Register No. 10/26), held at Oamaru, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist. 749 S. THAMES BOROUGH COUNCIL NOTICE OF RESOLUTION TO MAKE SPECIAL RATE NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolution was passed by the Thames Borough Council, pursuant to section 21 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, on the 20th day of November 1952 :- "In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Thames Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of two thousand seven hundred and fifty pounds (£2,750), being portion of the Thames Borough Council Fire Service Loan 1952 of £6,000, authorized to be raised by the Thames Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purchase of a fire-engine, the said Thames Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·29d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Thames comprising the whole of the Borough of Thames; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 2nd day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off." 750 F. RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Raglan County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for road the portions of land described in the First Schedule hereto, and to close those portions of road described in the Second Schedule hereto. This notice was first published in the Waikato Times newspaper on the 26th day of November 1952. 751 CENTRAL WAIKATO ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE Special Loan 1952, £100,000 NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the Central Waikato Electric-power Board, held on the 19th day of November 1952, the following resolution was passed : "In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and its amendments and all other Acts and powers it thereunto enabling, the Central Waikato Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows : That for the purpose of providing principal, interest, and other charges on the Board's Special Loan 1952, £100,000, authorized to be raised by the Central Waikato Electric-power Board under the abovementioned Act for the purpose of financing further reticulation within the Central Waikato Electric-power District, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal 0.095 of a penny in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Central Waikato Electricpower District as the same is defined by Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 27th day of July 1939 at page 2042, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and be payable annually on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off." 752 G.
