ROTORUA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and every other power in that behalf enabling it, the Rotorua County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal and interest and other charges on a loan of one hundred and sixteen thousand pounds (£116,000), authorized to be raised by the Rotorua County Council and called the Roading Improvement Loan 1952 £116,000, the said Rotorua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-eighths of a penny (⅝d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Rotorua; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

The Common Seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Rotorua was hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Rotorua County Council in the presence of—

NELSON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Nelson City Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £64,800 to be known as the “Water Supply Renewal Loan 1952,” authorized to be raised by the Nelson City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming at maturity portion of the outstanding liability in respect of the Water-supply Loan, 1937, of £88,000, the said Nelson City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two hundred and fifty-three five hundred and twelfths of a penny (2⁵³⁄₅₁₂d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Nelson, comprising the whole of the said city; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 23rd day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Nelson City Council at a special meeting held on the 18th day of November 1952.

TIMARU CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Western Extension Loan, No. 1, 1952

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on the Western Extension Loan, No. 1, 1952, of £50,000, authorized to be raised by the Timaru City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the Council’s share of the cost of extending the water-supply system to Grant’s Block, constructing and laying sewers, and reconstructing streets and footpaths, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·3448d. in the pound upon the whole amount of unimproved value of all rateable property in the whole of the City of Timaru; and such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

Certified copy of resolution passed at a meeting of the Timaru City Council held on the 29th day of October 1952.

WAIKATO COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Machinery Loan No. 2, 1952

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Waikato County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised by the Waikato County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing a Diesel shovel, a grader, and a loader, the said Waikato County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-seventieths of a penny (³⁄₇₀d.) in the pound on the rateable (capital) value of all rateable property in the County of Waikato; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 14th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of seven years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Waikato County Council held on 18 November 1952.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Bridges Loan, 1952, £35,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and its amendments and all other powers it in that behalf enabling the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of thirty-five thousand pounds (£35,000), authorized to be raised by the Christchurch City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of replacing Bridges at Swann’s Road and at Gloucester Street Extension (Dallington Bridge), purchasing land and meeting the cost of incidental works, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two thousand nine hundred and seventy-nine seventy-eight thousand one hundredth and twenty-fifths (²⁹⁷⁹⁄₇₈₁₂₅) of a penny in the pound (£0·00015888) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable properties comprised within the City of Christchurch; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The Christchurch City Council at a meeting held on the 17th day of November 1952 passed the above resolution.
