Altering and Redefining the Boundaries of the Leaning Rock Rabbit District—(Notice No. Ag. 5364)

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of November 1952
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Rabbit Nuisance Act 1928 and to section 29 of the Rabbit Nuisance Amendment Act 1947, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, at the request of the Minister of Agriculture, made on the recommendation of the Rabbit Destruction Council and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby—
(1) Alters and redefines the boundaries of the Leaning Rock Rabbit District by adding thereto the area of land the boundaries of which are described in the First Schedule hereto;
(2) Declares that the boundaries of the said district as so altered and redefined shall be those set forth in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE AREA TO BE ADDED TO THE LEANING ROCK RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Vincent County, containing 30,300 acres, more or less, being parts of Lauder and Tiger Hill Survey Districts, bounded by a line commencing at the south-western corner of Section 30, Block V, Lauder Survey District; thence generally south-westerly along Matakaniu Road to and along a public road forming the north-eastern boundary of Sections 96 and 95, Block VII, Lauder Survey District, to a public road intersecting said Section 96; thence generally south-westerly and north-westerly along that road to the south-eastern corner of Section 103, Block VII aforesaid; thence south-westerly and north-westerly along the southern and western boundaries of said Section 103 to and generally north-westerly along the north-eastern side of a sludge channel intersecting Sections 80 and 22, Block VII aforesaid, to the north-western boundary of said Section 22; thence south-westerly along that boundary to and north-westerly along a public road to the south-eastern boundary of Run 223o; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of Run 223o to the Omakau–Devonshire Road; thence south-easterly along that road to and south-westerly along the north-western boundary of Block I, Tiger Hill Survey District, to and generally easterly along the southern boundary of said Block I to the centre of the Manuherikia River; thence generally north-easterly along the centre of that river to its confluence with the Lauder Creek; thence generally north-easterly and north-westerly along the centre of the Lauder Creek to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 30, Block V, Lauder Survey District; thence in a southerly direction to and along the western boundary of said Section 30 to the point of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE LEANING ROCK RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Vincent County, containing 157,700 acres, more or less, being parts of Lauder, Tiger Hill, Wakefield, Cromwell, and Leaning Rock Survey Districts, bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the east bank of the Clutha River in line with the northern boundary of Run 238D, Wakefield Survey District; thence generally easterly to and along the northern boundaries of Runs 238D and 221D to Trig. A.A., Wakefield Survey District; thence generally north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of Runs 221H, 589, 590, 238N, Section 1, Block IX, Lauder Survey District, Runs 223L and 223M to the northern corner of Run 223M; thence generally south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Run 223M to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 30, Block V, Lauder Survey District; thence southerly to the centre of the Lauder Creek; thence generally south-easterly and south-westerly along the centre of the Lauder Creek to its confluence with the Manuherikia River; thence generally south-westerly along the centre of the main stream of the Manuherikia River to its confluence with the Clutha River; thence generally north-westerly along the left or east bank of the Clutha River to the point of commencement.

Consenting to the Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities and Prescribing the Conditions Thereof

ORDER IN COUNCIL

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the several local authorities enumerated in the Schedule hereto, being desirous of raising the respective loans stated opposite their names therein, have respectively complied with the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926 (hereinafter called the said Act), and it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council, as required by the said Act, should be given to the raising of the said loans:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 11 of the said Act, as set out in section 29 of the Finance Act 1932 (No. 2), His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the raising in New Zealand by the respective local authorities mentioned in the first column of the said Schedule of the respective loans set out in the second column of the said Schedule, up to the respective amounts specified in the third column of the said Schedule, and in giving such consent hereby determines as follows:—

The terms for which the said loans or any parts thereof may be raised shall not exceed the respective terms (in years) stated in the fourth column of the said Schedule.

The rates of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loans or any parts thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding the respective rates per centum per annum stated in the fifth column of the said Schedule.

The said respective loans or any parts thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the respective terms as determined in 1 above.

The payment of such instalments shall be made in New Zealand, and no such instalment shall be paid out of loan-moneys.

The rate payable for brokerage, underwriting, and procurement fees in respect of the raising of the said respective loans or any parts thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed one-half per centum of any amount raised.

No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the expiration of two years from the date hereof.
