BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF MARLBOROUGH

All that area in the Marlborough Land District bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Station P (Matapehe or McLaren Peak), in Block VI, Tennyson Survey District, and proceeding thence south-easterly along the summit of the Opouri Range and the summit of the northern watershed of the Kaiuma River to Black Point (Whataaruke), along Mohau Sound, to the north-western corner of Section 21, Pelorus Sound District ; thence along a right line to the south-eastern corner of a block of land granted to Joseph Toms ; thence along Queen Charlotte Sound to Karaka Point ; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of Waikawa Maori Reserve to Trig. Station B, and along the summit of the watershed through Mount Robertson, to a point bearing north 45 degrees west of the southern point of White’s Bay ; thence along a right line to said southern point of White’s Bay and along the sea-coast to the Awatere River, and up the middle of that river to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 30, Block VIII, Clifford Bay Survey District ; thence to and along that boundary along the middle of a public road forming the north-western boundary of Section 31, along the middle of a public road fronting Sections 29 and 28, along the south-western and north-western boundaries of 4 of Block I, the south-western boundaries of 6 of Block II, 15 of Block II, and 14 of Block II, along the south-eastern boundaries of 14 of Block II and 27 of Block II, to Boundary Stream, up the middle of that stream to Maxwell Pass, and down the middle of a tributary of the Taylor River, to the Taylor River, at the base of a hill called The Maori ; thence due south to the western side of Taylor Pass Road and southerly generally along that side to the confluence of the Taylor Pass Creek with the Taylor River ; thence by that river to the nearest point to the south-western corner of Section 44, of Block I, Omaka District ; thence to and along the watershed between the Wairau and Awatere Rivers to its intersection with a right line running from Barefell Pass to Trig. Station Top No. 2 (near Tophouse) ; thence north-westerly along that line to said Trig. Station Top No. 2 ; thence along a right line to Ward’s Pass, and along the summit of the range, being the northern watershed of the Wairau River, to Slaty Peak at the source of the Pelorus River ; thence down the middle of the said Pelorus River to the Heringa River ; thence up the middle of the Heringa River to its source at Trig. Station B, Saddle Hill ; thence along the summit of the north-western watershed of the Pelorus River to Trig. Station P, the point of commencement ; excluding therefrom the Boroughs of Picton and Blenheim.

BOUNDARIES OF THE OMAKA RIDING OF THE COUNTY OF MARLBOROUGH

All that area in the Marlborough County bounded on the north-east, east, and south by the County boundary from the mouth of the Wairau River to the southern side of the Taylor Pass Road ; thence by the southern and western sides of the aforesaid road to and across Wither Road to the southern boundary of Section 28, Omaka District, in Block III, Taylor Pass Survey District ; thence easterly by a right line across Taylor Pass Road to the southern boundary of Lot 4 of 28, Omaka District ; thence easterly by the southern boundary aforesaid and by the southern boundary of Section 8, Block III, Taylor Pass Survey District, to the eastern boundary of Section 8 aforesaid ; thence northerly by the said eastern boundary and the eastern boundary of Section 7, Block III, Taylor Pass Survey District, and its continuation to its intersection with the boundary of the Borough of Blenheim at the centre-line of the Taylor Pass Road ; thence by the borough boundary south-westerly and northerly generally to the northern boundary of Section 8, Omaka ; thence westerly along the northern boundaries of Sections 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, and 24, Omaka District, across a public road, and southerly by the western boundary of the said road to the northern boundary of Section 77, Omaka ; thence westerly along the northern boundary aforesaid, across the Fairhall River, and westerly by the left bank to its intersection with the eastern boundary of Section 76, Omaka ; thence northerly and westerly by the eastern and northern boundaries of Section 76 aforesaid and its continuation to the eastern boundary of Section 89, Omaka ; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of Section 89 aforesaid to the south side of the Middle Renwick Road ; thence westerly by the south side of the Middle Renwick Road to a point opposite the eastern side of the public road bounding Section 157, Omaka District ; thence northerly across the aforesaid road and by the eastern side of the public road aforesaid and its continuation to the centre-line of the Opawa River ; thence easterly generally by the centre-line of the Opawa River to its intersection with the centre-line of the old bed of the Opawa River opposite Section 37, Wairau West, in Block XVI, Cloudy Bay Survey District ; thence along the centre-line of the old bed aforesaid to a point in line with the south side of a road forming the south-eastern boundary of Section 34, Wairau West ; thence north-easterly along the south roadside aforesaid to the south-western side of Vickerman Street ; thence south-easterly generally by the south-western side of Vickerman Street to a point in line with the south-eastern side of Jones Street ; thence north-easterly across Vickerman Street and by the south-eastern side of Jones Street aforesaid and the continuation of that side to the left bank of the Wairau River ; thence south-easterly generally down the left bank of the Wairau River to the place of commencement, excluding therefrom the Borough of Blenheim.

BOUNDARIES OF THE WAIRAU RIDING OF THE COUNTY OF MARLBOROUGH

All that area in the Marlborough County commencing at the Marlborough County boundary in Block XIV, Pine Valley Survey District ; thence easterly generally along the summit of the dividing range between the Pelorus and Wairau Valleys to the summit of the watershed of the Onamalutu and Kaituna Valleys ; thence south-easterly by the summit of the ridge between the Onamalutu and Kaituna Valleys to Trig. R ; thence south-easterly generally by a right line to the eastern side of a public road forming the eastern boundary of Section 5, Block XII, Onamalutu Survey District ; thence south-easterly generally by the eastern side of the aforesaid road and the eastern boundary of Section 117, Wairau District, and its continuation to the Onamalutu River ; thence easterly generally down that river to the left bank of the Wairau River ; thence south-easterly generally by a right line across the Wairau and Opawa Rivers to the north-eastern corner of Section 35, Block I, Waihopai District ; thence southerly by the eastern boundaries of Section 35, Block I, Section 40, Block I, Sections 158, 157, and 180, all of Waihopai District, to and across the Middle Renwick Road to its south side ; thence easterly along the south side of that road to the eastern boundary of Section 89, Omaka District ; thence southerly by the aforesaid eastern boundary to its intersection with the continuation of the northern boundary of Section 76, Omaka District ; thence easterly and southerly by the northern and eastern boundaries of Section 76 aforesaid to the left bank of the Fairhall River ; thence
