Officers Authorized to Take and Receive Statutory Declarations

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by section 301 of the Justices of the Peace Act 1927, I, Sir Humphrey Francis O’Leary, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under section 301 of the Justices of the Peace Act 1927.

Land Reserved in the North Auckland Land District

WHEREAS by section 167 of the Land Act 1948 it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart as a reserve, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral lease or pastoral occupation licence, any Crown land for any purpose, which, in his opinion, is desirable in the public interest, and notice thereof shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 167 of the said Act, I, Sir Humphrey Francis O’Leary, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby reserve, subject to the reservations and conditions imposed by section 59 of the Land Act 1948, the land in the North Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for recreation purposes.

Warrant Appointing a Member of the Air Services Licensing Authority Under the Air Services Licensing Act 1951

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Air Services Licensing Act 1951, I, Sir Humphrey Francis O’Leary, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
Trevor Watts White, C.B.E., E.D., of Wellington, retired Group-Captain, R.N.Z.A.F.,
in place of
Arthur de Terrotte Nevill, K.B.E., C.B., of Wellington, retired Chief of the Air Staff, resigned,
to be a member of the Air Services Licensing Authority for a period expiring on the 2nd day of February 1955, and to exercise the powers and carry out the duties conferred and imposed upon the Air Services Licensing Authority by the said Act.
The Warrant appointing the Air Services Licensing Authority* is hereby amended accordingly.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, this 12th day of November 1952.
