PURSUANT to the powers vested in him by the Municipal
Corporations Act 1933, as amended by section 15 of the
Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1938, and to all other
powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the closing
of the portions of Maui and Tane Roads in the Borough of New
Lynn, described in the Schedule hereto.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN
COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 40 of the Public Works Act 1928, His
Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
authorizes the sale and removal of any stone, gravel, or shingle
upon or under the land described in the Schedule hereto, the said
land being set apart for a quarry by virtue of a Proclamation issued
under the Public Works Act 1928, dated the 23rd day of August
1949, and published in the Gazette No. 51 of the Ist day of September
1949, at page 1807.

Extending Time for Holding Election for Members of Upper Hutt
Licensing Trust

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of November
1952
Present :
His Excellency the Administrator of the Government in
Council
WHEREAS, on the 3rd day of November 1952, pursuant to
section 63 of the Local Elections and Polls Act 1925 (here-
inafter referred to as the said Act), the election for members of the
Upper Hutt Licensing Trust, held on the 23rd day of August 1952,
was declared void:
And whereas, by section 66 of the said Act it is provided that
where an election or poll is declared void a fresh election or poll
shall, on a day to be fixed by the Returning Officer, being not later
than twenty-five days after the date of such declaration, be held or
taken under the same provisions so far as practicable as the voided
election or poll:
And whereas, by reason of the requirements of section 7 of the
said Act and section 6 of the Local Elections and Polls Amendment
Act 1946, it is not possible for the fresh election required by section
66 of the said Act to be held within the period of twenty-five days
prescribed:
And whereas it is expedient to extend the time for holding such
election:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 71 of the said Act, His
Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby extends the
time prescribed by section 66 of the said Act within which a fresh
election for members of the Upper Hutt Licensing Trust is required
to be held to forty days from the 3rd day of November 1952.

IN COUNCI
Pursuant to the authority conferred upon me by section 301
of the Justices of the Peace Act 1927, I, Sir Humphrey
Francis O'Leary, the Administrator of the Government of New
Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that Francis James Malley,
being an officer in the service of the Crown holding the office of
Assistant District Rehabilitation Officer, Rehabilitation Depart-
ment, Invercargill, is authorized to take and receive statutory
declarations under section 301 of the Justices of the Peace Act 1927.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of
the Government, this 7th day of November 1952.
