Justice of the Peace Authorized to Exercise Jurisdiction in the Children's Court

Removal of Name from Commission of the Peace
PURSUANT to section 8 of the Justices of the Peace Act 1927, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government has been pleased to direct the removal of the name of
John William Peter Nelson,
of Auckland, from the Commission of the Peace; and it is hereby notified that such name has been removed accordingly, and that such removal will take effect on and from this 10th day of September 1952. Dated at Wellington, this 10th day of September 1952.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor-driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.
SCHEDULE
Column 1 (Driver). John Warren Discombe, Pukemiro, via Hamilton. Column 2 (Employer). Father.

Revoking a Warrant Excluding Portion of a Street from the Speed Limitation, Revoking Warrants Declaring Areas to be Closely Populated Localities, and Excluding Portions of Roads from Limitation as to Speed Imposed by the Transport Act 1949, Section 36
PURSUANT to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby revokes that Warrant dated the 22nd day of July 1942* which excludes portion of a street situated within One Tree Hill Borough from the speed limitation imposed by the said section, and also hereby revokes those Warrants dated the 24th day of June 1943†, the 8th day of February 1950‡, the 19th day of October 1951§, and the 28th day of April 1952||, declaring areas situated within the Mount Wellington Road District to be closely populated localities for the purposes of the said section, and hereby excludes the portions of roads described in the Schedule hereto from the limitation as to speed imposed by the said section.
SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Mount Wellington Borough—
(1) The Auckland-Hamilton State Highway No. 7 (all that portion commencing at a point 10 chains measured along the said highway in a south-easterly direction from its junction with Aranui Road and terminating at its junction with Sylvia Park Station Road).
(2) The Panmure-Otahuhu Main Highway No. 533 (all that portion commencing at its junction with Aranui Road and terminating at its junction with Panama Road).
(3) Sylvia Park Station Road.

    Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for Purposes of Section 36 of the Transport Act 1949
    PURSUANT to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby declares the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein shall be subject to the maximum speed-limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.
    SCHEDULE
    SITUATED within Murchison County : All that area at Murchison consisting of the Murchison–Frog Flat via Matakitaki Main Highway No. 162, commencing at its intersection with the Nelson-Westport State Highway No. 54, and terminating at its intersection with Wragges Road, a distance of approximately 40 chains.

    Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for Purposes of Section 36 of the Transport Act 1949
    PURSUANT to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby declares the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.
    SCHEDULE
    SITUATED within Waitaki County :—
    All that area adjacent to Oamaru consisting of the Timaru-Dunedin State Highway No. 59 commencing at the western boundary of Oamaru Borough and terminating at a point 50 yards measured along the said State highway in a westerly direction from its intersection with Waiareka-Duntroon Main Highway No. 123 and also all that portion of the Waiareka-Duntroon Main Highway No. 123 commencing at its intersection with the aforesaid State highway and terminating at a point 50 yards measured along the main highway in a north-westerly direction from the said intersection.
