Declaring Certain Crown Land to be Subject to Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act 1936

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 5 of the Maori Purposes Act 1939, I, Sir Humphrey Francis O’Leary, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby declare the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto to be subject to Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act 1936.

SCHEDULE

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL those areas in the Counties of Waikato and Piako situated in Block XVI, Hapuakohe Survey District, and Block XIII, Waitoa Survey District, containing by admeasurement a total of 418 acres 1 rood and 29·7 perches, more or less, being Hoe-o-Tainui South Nos. 1A 1, 1A 2, 1B 1, and 1B 2 Blocks and Lot 2 as shown on the plan numbered 26041 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, being part Tauhei Nos. 5B 1 and 4B 2 Blocks. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.A. 1/2/53, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Maori Affairs at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 15th day of September 1952.

Additional Land at Invercargill Taken for the Purposes of the Waitaki–Bluff Railway

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Humphrey Francis O’Leary, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Waitaki–Bluff railway.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of additional land :—

1 0 26·7 Part Lots 18 and 19, D.P. 2320, being part Section 10, Block III, Invercargill Hundred, and part Block LXXVII, Town of Invercargill; coloured sepia.
5 3 38·3 Part Section 10, Block III, Invercargill Hundred; coloured orange.

All situated in the City of Invercargill. (S.O. 6036.)

In the Southland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 11730, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Allocating Land Taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Street at Burnside

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Waitaki–Bluff railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a street :

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Humphrey Francis O’Leary, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a street, and that the said street shall be under the control of the Green Island Borough Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Humphrey Francis O’Leary, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for post-and-telegraph purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 29th day of September 1952.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of additional land taken: 5 acres and 30 perches.

Being part Sections 327 and 328, Township of Carnarvon.

Situated in Block XIII, Te Kawau Survey District. (S.O. 21857.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 130754, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 17th day of September 1952.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Humphrey Francis O’Leary, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a public school; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 29th day of September 1952.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of additional land taken: 2 roods 16 perches.

Being Lots 14, 15, and 16, Block VIII, D.P. 471, Township of West Mosgiel, being part Section 8, Block III, East Taieri Survey District, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 72, folio 126 (Otago Land Registry).

Situated in the Borough of Mosgiel.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 17th day of September 1952.
