WAIMEA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf
by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Waimea Electric-
power Board hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £50,000, known as the Border Area Loan 1951,
authorized to be raised by the Waimea Electric-power Board under
the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of reticulating the Border
Special Area, the said Waimea Electric-power Board hereby makes
and levies a special rate of one penny and one-eighth of a penny
(1⅛d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the
capital value) of all rateable property in the remaining portion of
the Board’s District which has not already been included in the
special rating areas, described in resolutions making special rates
and appearing in the New Zealand Gazette for the year 1948, at page 342
thereof, and for the year 1949, at page 1790 thereof; and that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency
of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WAIRARAPA EAST RABBIT BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf
by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Wairarapa East
Rabbit Board resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on the loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the
Wairarapa East Rabbit Board under the above-mentioned Act for
the purpose of purchase of a dwelling-house for occupation by the
Board’s foreman (Housing Loan 1952), the said Wairarapa East
Rabbit Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅔d. upon
every acre of rateable land in the whole of the Board’s district ;
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of
April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being
a period of twenty years, until such loan is fully paid off.”

Certified as a true and correct copy of the resolution passed
on 25 July 1952.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Counties Act 1920, and in the matter of
the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Franklin County Council
proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts
to execute a certain public work—namely, the provision of a road
within the County of Franklin—and for the purposes of such public
work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be
taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands
so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk
to the said Council, situated in Roulston Street, Pukekohe, and is
open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary
office hours.

All persons affected by and who have well-grounded objections
to the execution of the said public work or the taking of such lands,
must state their objection● in writing and send the same, within
forty days from the 18th day of August 1952, being the day of the
first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the County
Office, Roulston Street, Pukekohe.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of each of the parcels of land required to be
taken :—

A. R. P. Description of the Land.
2 2 31 Part Allotment 35, Parish of Pukekohe, situated in
Block III and IV, Onewhero Survey District; coloured red.
2 3 9 Part Allotment 35, Parish of Pukekohe, situated in
Block IV, Onewhero Survey District; coloured yellow.
2 2 35·7 Part Allotment 35, Parish of Pukekohe, situated in
Block IV, Onewhero Survey District; coloured blue.

In the County of Franklin, North Auckland Land District ;
as the same are more particularly delineated on S.O. Plan 29845,
deposited in the office of the lands and Survey Department, Auckland.

OTAUTAU TOWN BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Otautau
Town Board hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £2,020, authorized to be raised by the Otautau
Town Board under the above-mentioned Act for the erection of a
worker’s dwelling, the said Otautau Town Board hereby makes
and levies a special rate of three-sixteenths of a penny in the pound
upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property of the
Otautau Town District ; and that such special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be
payable on the 1st day of September in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.”
